You cannot get VOD as that requires talkback which these boxes do not have for obvious reasons.

2 questions if I may...I have just moved VM box upstairs ans split broadband cable to run cable into bedroom. Is this OK as VM box has talkback? Secondly Can't get some teresestial channels on Euro box how do I store individual channels that the scan didn't find if I know the frequency. Thanks in advance...

TRy this first pfk70 Manually scanning channels.
Press menu, Installation, User installation, Enter pin,
Then press ch edit (green button)
    Then press Add (red button)
Use the v arrow on the remote change the frequency to 291 change the Symbol rate to 6887 press ok repeat this process for the following frequencies 299,307, 315,323,339,347,355,363,371,379,395,403. exit once press ok on all the frequencies then press manual scan this will then scan on the tps your missing, you should end up with about 140 channells, when all the channels come in go to a premium channel ie sly premier and wait a few moments for the keys to update

    Hi Guys -

Thinking of buying one of these magic machines... Well more than "thinking" anyway....

Got a couple of questions though.

We moved in this time last year, and subbed to Sky...

There was evidence of Telewest already been here before. I've never had any contact with them though, but the cables are still to the property (wiring comes in thru cellar - so its all there, just I've poked it back down under living room floorboards - as Sky in use now).

Would I be able to get any pictures etc even though I don't currently pay TW/VM etc anything? Or do you need a basic package?

Hope somene can help. I know nothing!

If you dont have any cable connection to your house you can get V****N to install you a 30 day trial (3 for £30) and then say you dont want it after 14 days or so. give them box back and the cable will still be live or just keep broadband. both my boss and parents have done this.
(my boss did this over a year ago and until recently was watching freeview through the original box as they never took it away, he now uses a eurovox max v)

All the wiring is still there from before.

I just never called TW (now VM) up to "re-connect".

Will the wire still be "live"?

My parents was live, a lot of time they dont turn the feed off. get a box the worst thing is that you then need to get minimum package. if its live you dont need to bother.

Plug the cable straight into your TV and see if you get the FTA channels and then you will know if its live :)

Folks, forgive me if this not the right thread, but I've been reading lots of posts to try and find out how to switch off the background audio. I have only managed to find 1 ITV 1 channel on manual scan (395.000 N*L London) and it has the audio in the background. I'm using Kuro 15_10_07.
