You say that the Co**es are empty, have you check with the arrow keys > < you may be looking at a blank page, if they are definately empty, then go to Menu - and bring the key table up, press Default Key Yellow Button, this should bring your Provider ID and the necessary back. You need to know where you are in Manchester so try a Factory Default and Full power scan on 6952. EDIT - I am aware that you have tried this, but try again after a Default Key and Factory Default, it's the only way to go at present
Hi Malci The C0d3s are definitely empty. When I press the yellow button I can see the tables but there are zeroes in every box I have been doing powerscans this evening on symbol rates 6.952 and 6.887 after having done a factory default reset. On Symbol rate 6.952 it finds about 35 channels (no names) but when I exit the menu I get the message "Channel not currently available". If I scan on symbol rate 6.887 it doesn't find any channels. I have also tried to upload the 18-04-08 firmware again just in case it didn't work the last 5 times I tried. I still get 4 zeroes on my front panel (the LEDs). These stay there unless I put the box standby (when I see the time) or when I am flashing the box (I see "dnld") Anyone got a hammer?
Can you press info twice on the remote for the channels that say "Channel not currently available" and tell us the % signal strength also are any of the channels working at all and if so what % signal are you getting on them.
When i get "Channel not currently available" none of the buttons have any effect except Standby, TV/Sat, Menu and the Volume arrows. If I press Info or any other button nothing happens. The signal strength of the channels it "finds" varies between 78-82 %
You say on symbol rate 6952 finds about 35 channels, are these Transponders or you only actually get 35 channels TOTAL.
After the powerscan I get a table with CH NUM, Frequency, Symbol Rate and Modulator i get 35 channels total in this list The channels are all numbered but no names I can select the channel press ok and a little tick appears next to the channel number. That's about it In the Modulator column everything is on QAM64. Is that ok ?
The table you are talking about is a list of your TPs which means it has found all the freqs and yes QAM64 is ok, for this amount of TPs you should be receiving around 235- 245 channels for your area. So when you exit out of there to the TV none of the channels have a name ie channel 1,2,3,4 and none of them work at all? Have you tried taking out if connected any splitters inline?
Yeah I tried removing the splitter and te signal strength is about the same. Before my box went dead I didn't have any problems finding channels at all and I had about 250 channels I noticed something this morning though. I switched the box on and it was completely dead again. So I checked all the cables on the inside - still nothing. So I disconnected the card reader? (front right)from the motherboard and reconnected it and then I got power again to the box. Really strange. It's as though there was a loose connection even though it hadn't moved since last night I still can't get any channels though
