Hi guys am new to this ive just bought a eurovox 2008 and it doesnt work and wonder if its something ive done not done when you plug it in it just comes up with 4 dashes and a red light on standby nothing happens after that pressing buttons does nothing operating the remote does nothing any ideas? cheers Mike
I think you'll need to flash it with firmware did the bloke you bought it of give you a null modem cable and a software cd?
i bought it off satandcable.co.uk who said it comes ready to go said i would only need the null modem to upgrade i have plenty of them at work. I have emailed them about this but no reply as yet.

You will find the latest firmware here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/578790 complete with instructions. You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F. Null modem info here http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6 If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable. Thanks for that ive downloaded the file and got a null modem cable but the instructions dont tell you how to flash the box just how to operate it after can anyone tell me how to flash the box
right i ve got the box connected got the right female to female null modem cable using the downloader from here all is says is the receiver was not detected if i do a boot dowload it just stays on waiting for response nothing happens Help please lol I wish id stuck to my dbox that came out of the box plugged in and worked no probs whatsoever
