Hullo there! recently got given 5000 pvr+if i try to record a film or anything it starts to record after a while but i cant watch the "recording"channel at the same time,eventually comes up with!please wait code etc etc but it stays blank.Also when i try to watch a recording theres nothing there!. I dont know anything about these things but am starting to think it was a serious waste of money. .( er or i'm just not wise enuff to grasp it! can anybody(with patience!)help me out!
Not a waste of money! First of all press menu, config, then ok on system info, what does it say in there.

Follow this guide, http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/674371#4102894 You need to update the firmware on your box, all the latest firmware updates for your box is in the guide, once you have flashed your box you will get all your channels, if you have any further problems with installing the the Firmware then please post them in that thread, best of luck and let us know how you get on
hullo again Hiteck, i did what u said+downloaded the firmware! all seems to be ok now, much gratitude to you. i was wondering how often i have to do the firmware thing+how will i know when to "firm" it up again? Also do i have to "update" a code or is firmware doin that?And finally do you know how to get certain channels that the box did'nt seem to pick up? Once again thanx Hiteck,no doubt i'll have to pick your brains at some point in the not too distant future,keep up the good work!
No one knows (as far as I know?) how often you will need to reflash / update your box but up until now its not something you have to do on a regular basis, as for the missing channels? what are you missing?. You will not have to enter codes now you have flashed your box with the latest Firmware it will update these itself.
Hi Hiteck ty for prompt reply. Partner had ordinary eurovox max+she used to get sky movie channels 1-9 but we aint gorrem now!
