What Firmware did you put on the box?

Press menu config system info and type back what is says in there.

After you put the firmware on did you do a factory default then a powerscan with the correct symbol rate?

    Hi Hiteck,
Thank you so much for coming back. I'm at the stage that i feel like throwing box in bin. Have lost all channels now so decided to download software again, which mightn't have been a good idea. The firmware i used is: http://cablebox.4shared.com.
    Menu/config/system info says as follows:
Model: DVB - xc e5000 tda
    s/w ver: 1.0 ST4 jul 15 2008
    H/w ver: 2.0t K5 +d
    bootstrap: V001
    S/w build: kuro
Did factory default and it said that it was deleting all channels, symbol rate that came up was 6.952 mbaud, pressed ok and it started to go through 1/770 channels and at end came up 'no transponder to scan'. If you can do anything for me i'd really appreciate it.
    Many thanks

    Afternoon Karl :)
Do as Karl says and if its still not working,

Menu> Config> Then ok on Clear data,
    Type 0000 or 1004,
Ok on Erase all channels then ok again.

wait for it to clear all channel data then,

Press Menu along to instalation then ok on FAST INSTALL, type 0000.

Now press the RED button for advanced install,

a box will then load similar to this.

Enter the information as is above then click ok to scan and wait for the result,

May take a while to scan,
    best of luck.

    Hi Guys,
I'm back again, everything is running smoothly thanks. Just one problem, the clock is set one hour behind and thus the programme listings are also one hour behind. I went into timer settings but it wouldn't let me move the arrows up to change the current time. Any ideas
    thanks
    judith

    From Celtic71.

Unplug the EV for a few seconds, then plug it back in. Immediately go to time settings, set time using GMT. When time is correct turn GMT off and press blue button to save and exit. If you are quick enough this will also work.

    OR

    1. Set time using GMT.
    2. Go to installation, user installation.
    3. Press red button to preform an autoscan.
    4. When autoscan completes, IMMEDIATELY go to time settings again.
    5. Make sure time is still correct.
    6. Turn GMT off.
    7. Press blue button to save and exit.

DO NOT UNPLUG THE EV as it will default an hour behind and you will have to do it each time you plug it back in , leave it on STAND-BY :)
