eurovox cant find channels

I have a new eurovox 2008, i have done a power scan and found 31 freq but it cant find any channels apart from channel 5, the signal is 90% on all of the freq, so i then cleared the data and manually but in the 13 freq recommened on this site then done a auto scan and still no channels, im on n*l in north east,

My other eurovox has the same info and it picks up all channels straight away.
i hitting my head off a brick wall cos i got this for a friend and he is hounding me for it

 

any help at all plz i only got the box on tuesday. should i send it back??

 

Once you have scanned the box you will probably need to enter codes manually to get channels working then scan again and you should pick up all channels this is because the eurovox no longer updates itself.
