Eurovox EX1000 SL

    I've looked for a direct answer to this question on a dozen different threads but can't find one that solves the problem. I recently bought 2 Eurovox EX1000 SL boxes. I wanted to use one to work in my mothers house - she lives in CO Laois and has Chorus as her service provider and I wanted to use the other on my own place in Dublin which uses N*L.

    When I tried scanning in Laois (Chorus) I could get no signal - nothing. I think the signal is MMDS - please tell me the Eurovox is compatable with this system - I was told by the dealer it was. If so what is the problem? The system information on both boxes is:

    Model: DVB- XC Boxs TDA
    S/W ver:1.0 ST4 Aug 21 2008
    Bootstrap: V001
    S/W Build: Kuro

    Is this the most recent software?

    Meanwhile in Dublin I did a scan on NTL and got the channels however 99% are coming through as scrambeled channels. What is the problem here?

    Firstly if it is a chor*s mmds signal you need a box-t, the box you have won't work. If it was a chor*s true cable signal, or N*l cable or mmds it would work, which could be why the dealer got confused. Put it up here in the for sale section someone might do a swap, or else get back on to your dealer.

    You need a Eurovox TX or similar box for Chorus MMDS, the EX1000SL will not work.

    Did you flash the boxes yourself ? as it looks like you only have FTA software on them so they will not unscramble the channels.

    Is this the correct one? The channels are stil scrambled.

    Looks right, the N*L one should work ok with this software in Dublin, did you leave it on sky sports for a while and see if it unscrambles? Should only take a few mins

    i have same problem exactly but im not on mmds so wats going wrong can any1 help or does any1 no if starview box will work with ch*rus tanx all for help

    No a starview wont work. I tried that as well.
