    Hi Donkeyone,
Glad i'm not the only one who has problems, Karl and Hitech sorted me out. Just go into Eamons diary and download Eurovox pvr software onto box from your computer, then follow instructions that were given to me by Hitech and Karl, they're fool proof.

    Thanks Judith-

just have two little retarded questions-

i got a little disc in the box from the place i ordered it from, is that that the program that lets me download the firmware to the EX5000?

And, ive heard stories of the channels going..
Does that mean i just reconnect up to the web, and download from the link again...or do i have to ask someone for new codes??

    Thanks again

Don't know about the disc, it's probably step by step guide, but like i say if you go into Eamo's diary, then click on eurovox pvr, sub menu, then download software, when it's downloaded just connect up to your tv and away you go. User code is 0000 or 1004 and frequency is 6887. You'd swear i was an expert but its thanks to the help that i got from Karl and Hitech (hi guys) that i am comfortable with it and have actually ordered a second box yesterday with hard drive. If you want to give me your email address i'll be hoem at 5pm and go through what the lads told me

donkeyone its all in the library where i sent you before

hey guys, looked in library, and followed what it says, but still having problems, namely-

a cd came with the box from the place i bought it. But when i load it, theres 5 folders on the CD, one of which is RS-232 i think. When i open it, there's a rake load of icons to click on, but no .exe files (which is the extent of my file knowledge).

Also, theres already 4 zeros on the box when i turn it on, does that mean it's been 'flashed' (whatever that means- is that what the download process on the online tutorial on here is? Flashing?)

I think i need another cable aswell, cos the cable that came with it is female and female- so male on the ex5000box and female on the pc (bar the monitor hole, which i need on...) doesnt work with the cable, so i think i need a new cable, assuming i need the computer at all now that the four zero's are on there.

i also got a cable with a USB at one end, and a Male connection at the other..but the box connection at the back of the box is male, so WTF is this cable for??

Last night a small coffee table died and several toys murdered in my house due to my complete ignorance of all things technical :) If you want to save the lives of any more inanimate objects, write now!! haha

thanks again for any help, i really am a **ckin meatball, and you people are wonderful for helping anyone at all.
