i have downloaded the correct and most up to date firmware to my laptop. i connect the eurovox to my laptop with a null modem cable and usb adapter, but when i go through to start the firmware download to the box, it comes up with a comport setting. i have tried all four comport settings, but only comport three lets you progress in the download. but when the download starts, the progress bar does not move. could someone please help me with my problem of downloading the firmware to eurovox ex5100 pvr. maybe changing the comport setting on my laptop. it is a sony vaio if that helps.

thanks for your reply. i had already tried to use this guide to update the firmware on my eurovox, but i get to stage four in this guide, and it comes up with another stage about changing the comport settings. does anyone have any ideas on this.
