I really have no interest in this stuff, I just joined the site and was reading through numerous threads, but dude it sounds to me like you are just trying to stir the pot! There is tons of stuff posted on the internet, just because it is there doesn't make it fair game for you to copy and post at will. Simply put, you stole it, so STFU about it and move on.

I'll ask this again, as I only got one reply last time from some halfwit who suggested my box was haunted.

I've got a Eurovox PVR 5000, and for no reason I can fathom it goes onto standby at midnight every day.

It's no big deal, but annoying when you're watching something, say a tense bit in a movie, then the screen goes blank and you've got to search for the remote to get it back on!!

There's no provision I can find in the Menu or Setup for it to automatically switch off.

    Anyone else heard of this??

For the Max V it may be a daily timer setting that is doing this. Have you checked for any set timers?

Still on for me in Dublin 15 this morning. Rescanned all channels, went to BBC News 24 which was 'Updating', went to BBC Three which worked straight away. Then BBC News and One came back. Didn't check any others as I was on the way to work. Of course, that was at 07:00 - Perhaps they are gone now?

Also, thank god for FTA Satellite. Oh, and for the next level from crappy NTHell, Just buy a big (1.8 Metre) dish, a sat system, a cam and a card and point it at Saudi Arabia for plenty of high quality, HIGH DEF Films, TV and sport on Showtime including ALL 380 PREMIERSHIP MATCHES MATCH live - Something you cant get here or in the UK for some bizzare reason - Licencing is so strange sometimes :S

I'm no advertiser or anything (believe me, i love "obtained" tv just as much as the next poster) but if I were to pay for premium television, for about €700, you're getting a vastly superior service to SLY or NTSmell. It can also be gotten for "less" but.....
