There is no FIX for that box on N*L nagra 2
Find out exactly which box it is & use DEC 2008 fix for same.
The box could be used in any CHORUS cable area e.g.Newbridge,Kildare
town etc. Don't try any old FIX on it, you could fry the box

    Hi guys

A question about the Eurovox 5100 PVR

The box itself is decent and it works well, great EPG. The recording function is pretty good also, but I sometimes have a problem where if I press record, it sometimes takes an age to start recording.

Is this firmware related or is it one of those things we have to put up with on these boxes?

    Replies appreciated.

sometimes it can take up to 10seconds for your box to start recording, but when it does freeze just do what eamo too said in his reply above.

having a slight glitch with the a EX5000. I did a factory default, flashed with the new firmware, put on a current CDF file etc, but when I go to switch-on the emulation neither the green (save and exit) or the red (save) buttons do anything! I've checked that the remote is functioning correctly by going into "channel manager" and seeing if they function there - they do!
    Any ideas anyone?
    Thanks
    Papa

Considering I've flashed literally hundreds of boxes over the last 3 years I should've known better! It's this "set emulation" that I'm not used to - hadn't been necessary until latest fix!

EMU enable is only needed after FAC RESET, not after a flash.
FAC RESET is unnecessary before flashing EUROVOX.
2 greatest URBAN MYTHS are; FAC RESET before flash
& GO TO S*Y SP 1, wait to update.

Truth is; eurovox flash will overwrite existing firmware
Go to any encrypted channel & flick up & back down to clear
