Eurovox flashing step by step.

no probs mate, its a catch 22 which you the buyer are left with when sold a clone,

 

I have a Eurovox 5000 but after following all the instructions on the first page most of my channels are still scrambled

 

The only thing i have noticed is that the firmware still seems to be version 2 every time i try to flash it, should it not be 2.1

i sadly gave my euovox redbox to a friend
returning to london,it was still working here in dublin, for the channels that had not yet switched to nagra 2
my question is
,will he need to flash the the box or will the latest firmware i had installed here in dublin be ok

 

hi! just for my own knowledge, is thes boxes where there is fix for them, fo e.g. eurovox pvr 5000, or digovox-xl usb and so on can they get as many as channels as before, for e.g can they get setanta or the movei pack, thanks in advance cos im going out now.

read here, these are the only boxs working and what updates are for them, if it aint there, there is no fix,

if its there, follow the link for the box you have the fix is there and yes they will get all previous chans

i've been trying to flash 2 boxes with the new firmware,an ex 5000 pvr and an ex 1000 sl.
i've flashed loads of boxes in the past and have never had any problems.
when i try to flash the ex 1000 it keeps telling me the receiver was not detected and if i want to download the firmware in the boot mode,click ok button below and ac on your receiver.
there's also a box with com1,com2,com3 and com4.
i haven't got a clue what this all means.could this box be a clone?
it's a friend's,i don't know where he got it.
i flashed the firmware on to the ex 5000 with no problems and when i turned it on i had about 120 channels without having to do anything to it.i should've left it as it was but i decided to do a factory default and a new scan to try and get the other channels.when i did this i only had 10 channels so i did another factory default and then a deep scan and i ended up with about 180 channels (lots of multiples) but nearly all of them are showing "scrambled channel."
if anyone can tell me where i'm going wrong i'd really appreciate it.
i'm in dublin and on nxl by the way.....

Im having the same problem with the 5000 and scrambled channels lookin back thru the thread and found this:

press menu, language settings 1968 and another thing called emulator will appear down the bottom make sure its enabled.

I havent been able to try it yet

 

You have to trun the EMU on bud,it gets set back to disabled when you do a factory reset. press menu----language--1968 and make sure that emulation is set to enable.

would you have any idea what the problem might be with the ex 1000?
i've read the 1st page of this thread but am none the wiser.i've flashed at least 5 of these boxes in the past so know the procedure,just can't get this one to load at all....

Not sure on that one,suppose you defo checked that you have it connected ok etc...and switched the box on,I have done 3 of these over teh past week and no bother,im sure someone on here will help you out with this as I have seen the problem before on this site.

hi all i just updated a eurovox ex1000sl for a friend and mutv didnt unscramble so i checked my own dbox and its blank on that too (it was working a couple of days ago}..anyone else notice this?

yep its gone, on the sv to, freq 299.00, no chan there, but EPG is showing, could be a glitch, all other chans are there and ok

 

thanks Mickah ill check it again later. Hopefully its only a glitch or ill have a very unhappy son.

 

hopefully its a simple thing, if its the start of something else, a lot of unhappy punters, gonna try a re-scan to see if it returns
