Eurovox flashing step by step.

There is no nag2 fix for that box. After unzipping the file you'll notice the exe is called UFL_MAX_RED_30_11_08.EXE which is the last time there was a key roll on nag1. Sorry mate.

 

unfortunately I'm not joking, it does specify which are nagra 2 fixes for Ireland, the rest were for Ireland and the UK before the switch over to N2 in Ireland. You will see if you read back all the boxes updated in this thread for n2, all I can advise is sell your box to someone in the UK, there is a place on this forum HERE you may get a swap or a little amount of money back for it to put towards another box if you want to go down that route, entirely upto you.

You could sell it to someone you know in UK mate assuming you know someone living there or someone who knows someone....maybe. Like I did. Luckily my old flatmate lives there!

What's the feelings on the Digivox USB ??

 

No idea really as I sold my two starview 2 and 3 to him last time he was over for 50 quid a piece. Never used a Digi before so can't really comment on them maybe HiTeck could help you there. I'm using a dreambox with no probs.

The dreambox has a LAN connection so can be done that way or by rs232. As I say though I have no knowledge about the Digi.

If I was going for the dreambox where would u recommend buying from ?
I was Reading spec of it and it says it has a hdd ?
Does that mean u can record on it ?

All is not lost, looks like bootloader is stuck.
Before we go any further, you have a much bigger problem.
"PLUG WAS PULLED", I'm going to translate this into english
"SOME STUPID F**K PULLED OUT THE PLUG"
Sorry for being so harsh but if you can't take basic precautions
like ensuring no one tampers with plugs during flashing, I give up.
9 times out of 10 a power-cut during flash means box KAPUT.
Before you try re-flash; clear the room of women,children,cats,dogs,
+ imbeciles.If this includes you GET OUT + let someone else flash it.
You need to D/load EX 7000 loader(EXE) + FTA bin file.
Flash file onto box using NULL-MODEM cable, also remove USB stick from box before flashing. You'll have to mess around with this + just
hope for the best
Try; Power-off box, Hit D/load, Power on box
Or; Box in stand-by, Hit D/load, Hit stand-by
You may have try this many times, pausing 60 secs. between hits.
If successful then flash box with Nagra 2 fix.
If you have no luck, there's a CHDL fix for EUROV-TX + it's excellent
Some of Elder Lemons here might have similiar fix for EUROV 7000 HD
Failing this you need a TSOP + J-TAG your box (not for novice)

 

been trying to update a eurovox 1000sl with the firmware and it still wont work, I take it that under system informaton something there should change? its sitting as:

Model DVB-XC-BOX STDA

S/W VER 1.0 ST4 AUG 212008

H/W VER 2.0TS

BOOTSTRAP V001

 

:O no mate he's not joking the firmware for your box is only firmware not a nagra 2 fix, thats rough after spending 30 quid.

 

do not worry about the cable you bought you could use them for future with other boxes which there are fixes for them.

 

What would happen if i loaded the ev ex1000sl firmware onto the max v

 

I'm pretty sure that's the free to air firmware, download the fix from page one of this thread and re-flash.

It will probably say not fit for your receiver, it's not a wise move to try and flash your eurovox with the wrong firmware.

 

Do you think there will be a fix for the max v or is there anyone even working on one?

How does the MAX V still work on ch0r*s and not on Ch0r*s N*L because i taught they were all the one company now??

Maybe JUST MAYBE the ULTRA SUPER DUPER USB AUTO UPDATING USB BLUETOOTH INFARED BOX that beats the N3 system is already made and there just waiting for the change over to release it for sale, so we have to buy them all again

Does anyone have a CDF for Warrington on ex-NTHell?

Or a way of modifying an existing CDF so I can change names / frequencies etc.. the "edit" link in the firmware uploader doesn't work on Windows 7

On a side note, if I get a CDF, and the use a firmware which autosorts, will this move the channel numbers around?

If you read up on the differance you will see that, they are indeed different, one is still on n1 the other on N2, MMDS is different again, thats what happens when one company buys to different ones,
