Eurovox flashing step by step.

sorry to tell you steve but those channels have moved to n*l's new encryption nag.3 for over 3 weeks now and it will be anybodys guess when or if the encryption is broke/cracked.

 

hmmmm so i need a box with nagra 3 in it then now..cause i think starview 4 boxes has nagra 2 in it..

 

it starts to record then just stops. How do you format the hard drive. I hope I have the write hard drive for it.

 

theres is no box with nagra 3 ste we all fooked

 

Recomended manufacturers HDDs WD, Seagate & Samsung 80 / 120 GB 2.5" IDE drive giving you 40/60 hours worth of recording.


Check that the HDD is correctly inserted sparky, pushed home firmly and you may find an answer here that may help you >>>>>

First of all Im grateful for the help. I made sure it was in firmly in place and it was. Once I start recording, it does say "recording starting" then it cancels itself.
Im thinking I have the wrong HDD now. Could you possibly confirm this?
i have a Samsung hard drive bought from novatech. Ive managed to take it out of the eurovox with great difficulty. It says :
MODEL : HM121HC (120GB/5400rpm/8M/PATA)
Should this hard drive work or have I bought the wrong hard drive?

im with virin scotland i lost some channeles to day (baby tv,spen clasic) but i still have spen which is on the same friq i tryed manual tunning but n still nothing , i keep getting this massage ( insert card please) if i have to delete the channeles and retune them could please tell me how i could do that.

Menu config clear data, then back to user installation, red button, update tp, or do a new scan no splitters.

 

as e45 said you can also get satelite dish & sat box, read up about 'card sharing' also in other threads there is more details about it
