There will be no crack for N3 until at least all channels have been changed over. So your best bet is to watch what you have on your box's until every single channel is gone and then grow patience for a while and let the hackers do there thing and then se what happens

Well for starters you can check all the different threads on here. Lots of lads are using alternative methods including:

1. Watching TV & live sports online from their browsers
2. Installing software such & media players etc & watching additional sites through torrent sites etc.
3. Buying recievers & satelites to watch free to air
4. Going down the cs route

I'm only on phase 1 at the moment so need to get a bit more time to look into 2, 3 & 4.

Yep - phase 1 is a way to go; but I have tried loadsa different sites and not found one yet that will give a consistent/uninterrupted stream (Premiership Football)
It seems phase 3 may be the only way to secure that consistency :-0

 

Yeah - I'm the same as you with the live streaming (my link is only 2mb also) so it's a pain in the ass having to reload the pages all the time for the footy.

I need to look into option 3 to see exactly what channels one can receive over satellite as there's no point in getting the dish & receiver if the channels are just foreign etc... Any insight into what channels are transmitted over the satellite??

I pull in a 25 mb pipe and still have the refresh probs - so the issue is not having a 2mb pipe (as you already know)
I did have a quick look last year at the Rec/Dish solution that some of the pubs use; but I got stonewalled at the time and didn't pursue it. As I only want the kit for Prem Football that would be a solution for me as the Arab [I think] channels carry just about all of it. I think I'll have a poke around again for nfo on this solution

I havent been on here in a long time, possibly over 6 months.

I have a Eurovox black Max V 2008 on Ch&rus which hasnt given me any trouble at all....I still have all stations to-date,

although i received a letter from UPC this morning which said.

We would like to advise you that we are about to start a very important upgrade on our TV systems. This will allow us to both improve the security of your TV service and prepare for exciting future Digital TV enhancements. An important step in this upgrade is the replacement of the card in your digital box.

We will write to you again within the coming weeks with your new card and detailed info on how to change the card in your digital box.
In the meantime you will need to download new software onto your Digital Box.

and it lists the instructions.

so is this finally the end for Ch&rus customers with currently working boxes now?

Hi Steve,
Before c*orus & Nt* merged to make UP* they were both transmitting their channels on different infrastructure.
Now that they are together I think they are finally getting the c*orus stuff upgraded.
I received the same card & notice you described a while back so it does look like UP* are moving their c*orus kit onto Nagra 3 encryption.
Your Max V has been discontinued & replaced by the ex1000sl so there may not even be a release for your box if Nagra 3 ever does get cracked.
A lot of prople have been affected so you can sit it out & wait & see what happens with Nagra 3.

 

Well to be honest, my box is still working perfectly


and i have not downloaded the new software yet....(i dont intend to)

they can send me out the new card but it wont go into the box.

so i'll just continue using what i have with no affect

Yeah their signal is one way (transmit). Eventually they'll have everything on N3 but yeah just be thankful you've gotten this long out of it & that you're not on NT*.

if i dont plug in the Ch^%us box and download the latest software im grand i can continue using my eurovox

no when chrous roll out nagra 3 its game over aswell like the rest of us unless nagra 3 is cracked as janey said count yourself lucky your on chrous an got a little longer out of it than the people on nthell
