    Hi Guys,

I've come to a blank point and wonder if anyone has got any ideas ;)

Ive tried to upgrade the new firmware on my Blue box: connected the usb-serial:nullmodem cable to the box and PC, Run the UFL loader programme, now when i click Download it comes up with a screen saying Com 3.. and start button, When i hit the START button it comes up with another screen saying Receiver was not detected (even though the reciever is on) ..if i want to dowloand in boot mode click OK, select the COM port and it gives me options of Com 1, 2 ,3, 4. so i hit OK selecting Com3 .. BUT i get another box saying waiting for response from receiver... and still waiting .. and waiting .. BUT still nothing happens LOL!

I've checked the hardware devices and it recognises the USB serial adapter in the com-port, working fine no problems. So why isn't it picking up the receiver..

Thanks for listening to the long story! any advice, well appreciated!

    Al

Gotta go soon but hope this helps
When I first flashed mine EXACTLY the same happened
I just ran the UFL again and kept hitting the download until it ran through - each time I got the error I escaped and just kept running it again and again. Eventually BINGO !!. Give it a try

    HELP!
Im new to this so please be kind.
I have a Eurovox Max V and the codes are constantly going off. I've been advised that there is a firmware available where the codes would update themselves? Is this correct? if so can someone please advise me what I need to do update my box with it.
    I have the necessarry cables.
    Thanks in advance.

Is there still a seperate thread for Max V2008 after Creaky threatened to close it down?

Question is on clones, so crosses many borders.

I've been flashing boxes for mates last two days, done one tonight, failed. When I had a look properly, its a clone.

I believe its possible to repair? a clone by buying new kit for it, can someone steer me in the right direction please???

    Cheers chaps

If it wont flash leave the Firmware as it is and do whatever you have to with regards to keeping it going and wait to see if there are any new updates for clone MaxVs. the Firmware previous as i'm sure you know would be accepted on a MaxV clone and I am still on the fence to say it is a clone safe. If it wont flash on your PC try another, but as you say you have done a few I would then presume it wont work for clones.

    Best to wait and see.

Edit, I know a guy who has a clone max V, I will ask him how it went and let you know shortly. :)

Edit; I have asked about the MaxV clone and they do take this Firmware, A friend has managed to do his without problems. I not going to say it's clone friendly as I dont want blaiming if it bricks your box but as before his is working fine with this fix and he deffinatly has a clone ;)

HELP....have now tried 5 times to flash my ex1000sl and it dosnt seem to take. The only connection I could get was with an old laptop (only pc with a comm port), but it uses win 98. Will this make a difference? Also, there is no rar file with the UK download for the ex1000sl. Thanks for any help.

Press start, then right click my computer, click properties, click on device manager, click the + next to com ports, it will then show serial port, what (com?) number is it assigned to.

The laptop is on win 98 so wont give me that info. It seems to detect it on comm 1 when I power box down then power up again. It then goes through what looks to be a download then power light on box comes back on. I then check on system info on box and nothing seems to have updated.

Hi I have downloaded the new update and just wondered where the previous customisation options have gone?

Can no longer update channels with autosort switched off? Don't think their is a signal boost option now either?
