I tried 8% fix and everything working perfect. You are a star.

I dont know how you experts put up with idiots like me. My box would only go to 8% and there is a fix for 8% problem and guess what I dont put one and one together??????

Anyway thanks very much. Really appreciate it.

Thanks to everyone on this thread. I have now successfully upgraded my firmware in April this year when N*L were messing about and again this week. I even sorted out my brother in law's box also. The tutorials on this thread are very easy to follow and have ensured that I have continuous quality TV.

    Thanks again to all involved.

    Hi guys,

first of all, thank you to all who contribute here, youve helped immeasureably and i really appreciate it.

My Question; my channels scrambled last week, then i downloaded the firmware to the Ex5000pvr, and they were fine, had everything. 3 days ago though, they went down again, and now ive only got some regular tv channels, but the rest are all showing "Please wait, code being updated" for 4 days now.

My question- do i just need to do the same downloaded fix i did again, or is there a new one up since this happened on Wednesday/Thursday17/18 December?

    im in Dublin, on N**L.

    Thank you again.

If you have flashed your box with the latest UK fix, since they went down - then there is no need to flash again with the same fix, just flick through a couple of channels to give it a kickstart, it should be fine. behaner, you will find all you need on the first page of this thread, courtesy of HiTeck.

    Hey guys,

I have a problem that is putting me into a rage.I've one mouse down already. Can anybody help me with euromax v upgrade firmware?Never done this before

I have taken my eurovox to my pc in another room(have no laptop) ,followed the instructions on page 1 .I am Using old computer with two ports, have correct "'RS232 NULL Modem' " cable connected between machines.

When i click to "download" software"

    Following message

    "The reciever was not detected"

"If you want to download the software in boot mode, click ok button and ac power on reciever" It's asigned to correct port

When i click "ok" it just hangs on "waiting for response from receiver"

When i connect the null cable to the pc for the first time ,should a window pop up to say that new hardware has been detected? THis does not happen...

Liammo, you guys need to use adifferent port maybe. i did this for my ex5000pvr. Its in my documents/then properties. not sure after that, but its in there. something could be now using the port you had assigned, so you can pck a new one now. hope this helps

Has anyone got the manual off their euro-vox. Does it tell you how to unlock the box in it.

Nope, this is the UK fix with Autosort, give that a go if you want, and try to let it update on a channel with a strong signal, just needs a kickstart, try Diney, Sky 2 Sports 1/2/3 even the God channel, it will kick in and update, it is trial and error I'm afraid.

willij, what are trying to unlock exactly mate?

not sure. i loaded the new software on to the box and that's working fine, there's 3 lights on the front of the box and the "lock" one is green and won't let me use the remote. I've tried a different remote and that didn't work either. I can only change the channel using the buttons on the box it's self.

Strange one that, the green one is the lock light, and that is normal to have on, but you should only have that one when it is on and working, have you tried just switching it off at the back for a minute. To be honest it's the first time that anyone has posed (at least that I know of) that question, three lights mmmm, maybe someone will come along with a simple answer. But in the meantime I will have a look around for you, and if I find anything I will get back to you okay.
