hiteck, how do i pm you ? dont see any option for pm even went into your profile..im feeling those 2 bottles of wine last night..lol
Hi, I followed your instructions and flashed my ex5000 pvr and plugged it into my tele and all I get is a black screen with the remote only being able to turn it on/off. I've since tried reflashing it and still no joy, also double checked the aerial connections. The only thing I can see different is your instructions say version 2.1 detected wheras mine says version 2.0
Where did you buy your box from. I've seen the with eurovox blue CLONES but not with the new ex5000pvr.
hi Hiteck, would plugging an rf cable into a blue clone eurovox work also as the same happened with one I was trying to flash for somebody, Thanks
toffee did you tune your TV in after like you would a VCR? Yes anto both try this courtesy of scouser. 1. Plug the RF lead into the video RF socket on the back of the Eurovox. 2. Tune your telly until you get the 'enter pin' screen for your Eurovox. 3. Enter the master pin which is 1004. 4. Go to Eurovox menu and clear data, then do a factory reset. 5. Thats it, plug your scart back in and do a powerscan as normal.
The scan has worked fine, channels are up and running the final test will be when I switch it back to the scart lead but thank you very much!!
hitech, quick question, i've just flashed a ex1000 sl and when i plug it all back in it still has the old software date? why is this? ps this first time of flashing a eurovox.
Does it update? if so dont worry about the dates. Blue Red dates go back to 2007 when updated, max V doesn't change date, ex5000pvr changes to october, im unsure whether the ex1000 alters dates when flashed. As said providing it updates thats all that matters.
Yes it did HiTeck so once again many thanks. The only thing I can't understand is I had a blue box, and I've set others up but I've never had to tune it into the television before
You don't have to tune the TV when using a scart lead but when you use a RF cable you do. Glad your sorted mate, all the best.
it comes on up and running so flash was successful thanks. it might not change date then, im telepest and they hasnt been an update since xmas so time will tell, i didnt have a channel dump so they are all over the place is there any way to get em in some sort of order like on the super box?
If you used the firmware with the fav sort when you press FAV button on your remote it should show them in category order- Entertainment, Music, sport etc.
