Thanks for that HighTek, as I said with a name like"LEEDS 81" I assumed he was in the Leeds area, I said I was in North Cheshire,so how I can be confusing people in Ireland is beyond me!

 

losing channels in ireland seems to be mainly sports channels like setanta sp 1 & 2 & some club channels.Also adult channels gone
cannot get them back by a rescan.
I read previously someone said they are now running on Nagra3 ? Sorry if silly q but what`s that mean ?
Is there a counter that the eurovox max can do to this ?

 

Virgin is preparing the launch of Nagra Vision version 3 smart cards to further enhance network security for its Cable TV customers. These new smart cards will increase the encryption capabilities of the existing set top boxes and introduce new features for blocking access to non paying customers and enhanced "On Demand" security. It is rumoured that Virgin is planning to issue all customers with new smart cards as part of a "self install" policy. Watch this space for more information as soon as its available.

 

Thanks for the update. So I guess that means at the moment we`re just waiting for the fix for the lost channels & nothing can be done to recover them currently ?

 

Not at the moment i'm afraid, its the sit and wait game now, and let the firmware developers get on with their job, hopefully if the situation isn't too worse to be out of their control.

 

ok, hopefully they`ll come up with the answer so as they always have done in the past as hate to see n*l win the war after all this !!time !!

 

Just think of it as a gift from us to the company so their employee's dont get bored out of there ***** sitting around and doing nothing. If it gets too serious a firmware update may not help, but i'm not sure what the likelihood of this would be..

 

There are rumours going around today that there is a new firmware out to fix the missing channels on the Eurovox. Can anyone confirm?

 

dont listen to rumours mate they build peoples hopes up, then before you know it, the threads as long as your arm.this site will let people know when theres a fix.

 

If someone is selling the fix, don't buy it!!

Ive a digivox xl but am guessing its the same. Ive downloaded all the relevant softwaare for digivox but when i go to download it keeps saying "failure to flash". whats the most likely reason for this?

 

HiTeck hi need help my computer broke so using girlfriends laptop to flash a super 4 her went to ur turi of boxs but her laptop is not given me the usb or com to us it its not in the device page were ur telling people to go help please

 

Hitech i now have a roblem when i installed teh new eurovox max 2006 non clone firmware on my box..

i did a previous firmware download on my eurovox max 2006 blue and it worked fine, however when i flashed it to the new update 30/11/08.. downloaded from the first page, the flashing is succesful, however when i hooked it up the tv, the channel came on, it froze and then my tv said NO signal, as in it cant detect the box anymore..

i also press up and down on the reciever, and it doesnt move from the figures "2324"

and there were no errors in the flashing

I am a bit confused Hiteck. It says for no.1 put in the Coax cable into the eurovox, the thing is it doesn't fit into the TV/VCR Socket on the back of the eurovox and only the RF In socket..
(or have i understood it wrong..)

and where it says to tune your telly, is that to get the eurovox menu to display on screen?

my tv is new, so there isn't no manual tuning option for it... :|
