eurovox max 2006 stuck on standby

please please please help, i have a eurovox max series 2006. for a year it worked fine, but then all of a sudden it got stuck on standby. the red light is displayed, but nothing else and stopped working.
I have heard about flashing etc, but have no idea how t do this.
Is my box beyond repair or does anyone know an idots guide to repairing it .

thank you for your response, unfortunately no nothing at all on screen. just the red standby light on the box. even the green channel led lights are not on either now.

thanks for that, does this thing just plug into the box? sorry for being a thicko, just at the end of my tether lol. I bought the box from a computerfair last year, would they mend it do you reckon?

cheers, i live in the uk. a place called dudley lol. i think i shall purchase that jtag from the link. otherwise have to buy another box.
