Hi all First of all a hi to everyone and what a cool site!!! I have a eurovox max blue and just got a usb cable to flash my box and have set the COMM port to number 3 and it says it waiting to download/upload but dont get past this?!? I have the latest firmware waiting to go on but wont let me do it?!? any help or idears to try... could it be a possible driver prob with the cable? Thanks for reading

Thanks Malci I found this and the cable is listed with a comm port on my list but the box is not responding at the mo but so much info on here will keep trying and post back if no luck....... So much stuff on this site that you end up reading loads lol.
It's seems to be the adaptor that is causing you problems, pain they are, it needs assigning to a COMM port, you are sure that you are using a NULL MODEM lead I hope, anyway I hope you get sorted. Just a thought - have you tried a hard boot - unplug the Box, hit DOWNLOAD on the loader wait a few sec. and plug box back in. Or if it says "Waiting for a response" again try unplugging the box and plugging back in, just idea's that you can try, if your leads are correct.
Hi Yes cable is correct and will be giving it a go later and will let you know it sets the comm port when plugged into my laptop and have 4 usb slots in the side and find that 2 of them will be in the 1-4 range you get. Thanks again....
It would be far easier if you could get a loan of a mate's standalone PC or old laptop with the 9 pin serial port, you will have it done in no time. Think about it anyway.
