Eurovox Max problem

Ok not in front of mine at the moment, so trying to remember, I think you press menu on the remote control, then press the yellow button, this should pop up a box, at the top you put in the N*L code of 54 01, then you enter in key 00 and the codes I gave you, then
key 01 and the codes I gave you, then hit ok and exit back to the tv.

You don't need to input any codes for a eurovox, Those codes tracy gave you are for a starview, Just download the firmware and do a scan, and let the codes update, This can take up to 15 min. to update.

 

I have the eurovox 2008, after downloading software and doing the scan it starts to say 'updating codes', this can take a v long time to update, I just put in the codes and it worked straight away.

 

I'm going to try that anyway, I had the box on for two hours last night and it would'nt update, I also thought that the eurovox boxes update automatically. I have a Eurovox 2007 as well and never had any issues with updating codes on that.

Any ideas why the 2008 won't update?

 

To be honest im too impatient and wouldn't wait more then 15mins and it only takes a minute to bang in the codes!

 

I have a eurovox 2007 and most of my mates have either these or the new 2008 boxes and they never need codes, they do autoupdate (depending I suppose on whats loaded onto them), If I ever get code updating and it doesnt work I simply do a factory reset and re-scan, works perfectly.
This has only happened twice in 8 months though.
No one I know (about 100 people) ever had to enter any codes into the box.....

whats the difference with the blue red and black boxes

Well you should get it with software on it, else you can find the software everywhere, it will be software for MAX V series.

 

i have Eurovox_Max-V_02_07_07 is that the one? is a eurovox the best one to buy?

 

Yes it will give you less headache. yes thats the software you need.

 

and with that software do i just scan for the channels and they'll descramble itself?

 

Basicly yes, obviously you need the Loader software to load that bin file - Where are you - area - and if you need any help you can obtain a guide off the various sites - even pm me if you want and I will send you a simple guide.
