manchester is served by the cable network that was installed bt Nynex and operated by C&W. Just because you paid a bill to NTHELL before they changed their name to ferkinmedia ( yes, they are the same company, just a new name that they have leased from the VM group for 20 years ) does not mean that they ( NTHELL ) are the provider code for your area.

As I'm a dbox man I need a little help here, my bro has his EurovoxMaxV, will the UFL_MaxV_Kuro3_10_04_08 update fix the AU of the keys for his EurovoxMaxV?

Just wondering if he should wait for a newer version?

On the situation with the rolling of keys, my dad dropped a fella to the airport on wednesday who said he worked as an engineer for Sk*y, he had been over at U*PC helping with the changes. He says the idea is that they will roll each hour eventually. He was supposedly over as S*ky are not happy that U*PC are doing little to stop this happening, so they are working to help them. The idea is that about 90% of people who have the boxes don't know how they work and will hopefully ditch them, they're not worried about the 10% who do. Oh the guy knew his stuff, the oul lad knows a lot about the dbox from me, and he said either he was for real or he was someone from here winding him up

Still doesn't help with this AU problem though

have been having the same prob as all of you, have got it sorted now
the firmware you require for the euruvox v max can be downloaded here

this seems to be the latest firmware that fixes the rolling code issues, it took me most the night to sort this. read me is as follows,

Eurovox Max V 2008 Kuro 3

10th April 2008


New features are:

1. Fixed Autoroll in UK and Ireland.

2. New Fast Install menu - the simplest receiver to set up in the world!

3. New Extended info window on bottom left of channel list screen, with time-progress bar. Go through what's on every channel in detail in a matter of seconds!

4. Child Lock (in Parental Lock) - lock the box completely and make those kids do their homework!

5. Tuner stability improvements.

6. New Autosort function (early beta) - automatically sorts the channels into categories after Powerscan.

Make sure you do a Factory Default after flashing and before Powerscanning.


The best box just got better.... Eurovox!

dont know if it will work in scotland but worked for me in uk.

SYNSEAL , I understand you are trying to help people out , but I cant understand why in EVERY post you reply to , you are repeating codes after codes in each post , threads are being closed for less and the MODS are clamping down , I sat back tonight and REFUSED to help out due to the amount of lazy people who will not search for the answers !

Tell me whats the point of this thread? Im I stepping on people toes in here? People come in and ask for a code so i give it to them just like everyone else is doing! What is the problem?
Why do the mod shut down a thread where a person is giving out keys to help people? This thread is full of codes/key from you also!
I dont uderstand what your saying as you were doing the same last night, Is it that I have to get permision from the "top dog" in here or what, ?

Thats the firmware. Its not forced to work on every ones box and also not every one has the cable or are that way enclined to be able to flash there box.

The MODS rules , not me , Im only here to give advice , There are 2 main codes pages where the codes are ALWAYS posted , I never post codes in threads unless I see a problem where the likes of someone last night was trying for 3 hours to get his EV up and running and he was inputting codes and I SUGGESTED use a different code and provider and it worked.

When I am directing members to codes , I ALWAYS use the links and NEVER repeatly post codes which is a NO-NO in this forum !

 

It is but you said no need to upload codes, well there is as my point said before because not every one can flash there box.

 

I too am confuse by this kind of post. What makes you think that posting information that is freely exchanged ( via VM and you as a subscriber ) is going to get a thread closed? What is the legal precedent? What makes it OK to post a code once yet not repeat it any way better than having codes repeated?
If you feel that there is some illegality involved with posting this public domain information then why is it not closed at the start?
The mods can close what they choose. Their reasons for doing so are their own. They certainly can not claim that posting of this info hurts the site ( if they are well informed ).
If you can post it once you can post it a million times. The damage ( inferred by you ) is done with the first post.
Let's have a sensible grip on the issue and not imply that we can be naughty but not too naughty here.

 

I'm sure one of the MODS can answer all your questions for you , as I am only a AD user like everyone else
