Eurovox Max problem

    thanks for your help now just gotta sort out adding box to pc lol
    take it i jsut put box to cable then cable to pc then open the file right?? will it do automatically sorry when it comes to stuff like this ive never done it before so all totally new

    Hi Linny,
    Will this download only work if you are using your euro-voxV tru a pc or will it work if you just have it connected to your TV :)

    Just downloading the new software to the box - is this a permanaent fix???

    OK, to all you guys having probs updating the firmware, follow these instructions:

    You will need:
    A null modem cable (serial cable) – if you don’t have one – get one. You cant update without it.
    Winrar – download here: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm click on WinRAR 3.71 at the top

    Connect your eurovox to you pc with the serial cable, put the box in stanby.
    Unpack the file i posted earlier with winrar. Inside the file will be the loader utility and a notepad doc.
    Open the loader utility.
    You may first want to backup your chanel data so you wont have to rescan for chanels.
    To do this, click on the browse tab, choose a location to save your chanel data and click UPLOAD.
    Now to update your firmware, click on the download tab (note there are two download tabs, to update firmware click the highest download tab, the one on its own)
    Click start when the new box appears.
    Wait for update to complete.
    Now you can put your chanel data back on, to do this hit the browse button, select your chanel data file and press the download tab that is next to the upload tab.
    When completed hook the box back up, go to an encrypted chanel and allow about 15 mins for codes to update.

    I have no idea lol sorry.

    At the moment the keys i put in last night are still working so before i get brave enough to try n work out how to do it i will wait to see what happens with the box when it goes i will then try n see how to do it.
    But i beleive you need to disconenct from tv and connect via trhe cable to your pc. imsure someone will give us full instructions on how to for us novices lol! well hope so anyways

    simonblltThanksfor that, so all I have to do is download winrar & then the Eurovox software. Plug the box into the PC. Will it download automatically into the Eurovox? Sorry for this but am no techno wizard.

    Ok - so I downloaded the software - and it wiped out my channels... luckily enough I thought about saving them first by using the upload option - I then re downloaded the channels by pressing the smaller download button... and hey presto it works...

    You will need to put the box onto aan asian movie channel as this will update the codes quicker - I have been told...

    Mine now works a dream...

    Anybody know if this is permanent ???

    you need cable from pc to box and plug mains in box and leave on standby extract firmware in winrar and you will get a small screen with eurovox max v unified flash loader and then says download click on tha it should recognize your box and then install it takes bout 5 mins

    i got a usb rs232 cable due to laptop being 15 pin..so now i got both male on the cable and male on the eurobox ..am i doing somthing wrong..please help
