Eurovox Max problem

that's the Max V using the oct 2007 Kuro software. Just needs the Kuro update for the max v released yesterday.

 

maxv firmware here: http://www.box.net/shared/static/m5eo2cbkkg.rar password is: techwatch Connect your eurovox to you pc with the serial cable, put the box in stanby.
Unpack the file i posted earlier with winrar. Inside the file will be the loader utility and a notepad doc.
Open the loader utility.
You may first want to backup your chanel data so you wont have to rescan for chanels.
To do this, click on the browse tab, choose a location to save your chanel data and click UPLOAD.
Now to update your firmware, click on the download tab (note there are two download tabs, to update firmware click the highest download tab, the one on its own)
Click start when the new box appears.
Wait for update to complete.
Now you can put your chanel data back on, to do this hit the browse button, select your chanel data file and press the download tab that is next to the upload tab.
When completed hook the box back up, go to an encrypted chanel and allow about 15 mins for codes to update.

i downloaded the updates from the bigmaq toolbar, its free from bigmaq.com. Its got all you need, just remember to refresh the toolbar regularly. Once downloaded I followed the easy instructions posted a few posts ago on this site. I used an rs232 to usb converter (following the install insructions, its not just a cable, theres magic in it) conected to a null modem cable then hey presto, all was good in the world again.

 

If you follow the instructions i have posted you wont go wrong, make sure you back up your chanel data tho. i have reflashed 30 boxes so far today, not one has gone wrong. just be sure you know which box you have.

 

Soo is this a permanaent fix for the EuroVOx ?????

I might be wrong here but are'nt there 2 black boxes?
A max and a max V?
One was released end of 2007 and the other one at atart of 2008?
Which firmware do I use for the Max not the Max V?
Apologies if I am wrong on this, a few people have asked me saying they have a black box but its not the Max V.
Any ideas simon?

 

you dont need an old pc, i used a usb converter and it worked fine.

 

As far as im aware the max is the max V. I brought my Max V in 2007. the other 2007 release came in a red box (hence the name eurovox red)

updated my eurovox

but my percentage keeps on lowering as the time goes

is there a way of fixing this as many people is having this problem

any solutions i would greatly appriciate

btw does a reinstall sort out this problem

sorry if im pointing out the obvious but you are aware that the signal level will be different on each chanel??

simon, ive got a similar problem to the ones im reading about...sorry to bother you....i am not sure if im using the red or the blue....i bought mine in aug 07, and it says hardware 14feb 2007 in the system page. can you give me some clues please.......

but like usually on each channel it varied from like 85-92 depending on the channels howver now after installing this new firmware it varies between 65-70%

 

What colour is the box it came in?
