Eurovox Max problem

yes simon i have the modem cable,and my laptop has a serial port bot its smaller than a pc port,but i am able to get access to a pc my daugther has one,i also have a null modem cable that fits my laptop,

 

Everything seemed to go fine, however played channels without updating ??

 

ok, try it on your laptop first if you say it fits. download the firmare file from here:

your lucky then, it should update on its own from now on.

 

simon do you put one end of the cable in the laptop if it fits and the other into the eurovox,when you do that do i go into the link you sent and then what

bought usb serial cable from maplins downloaded new software eurovox max v black box working fine

I have done something to my box and was wondering if anyone could help, I have tried manually putting codes in, automatically.
Now though when i go to start a scan i get either no transponder or no signal, Please please please someone help I have trawled for 1 1/2 days now ahhhhh!

 

its worth checking that the cable between you laptop and your eurovox fits at both ends before we proceed any further. if they do fit then you need to download the files i have posted.

 

you seem to be contradicting yourself, have you flashed the firmware and did you backup your channel data?

hi simon

just downloaded the firmware for the blue box and transfered it to my eurovox via cable which all seemed ok til it got to the end and said download failed

am i sending the right information.

i think i have a blue box because the packaging box is blue.
it is a eurovox max 2006

edit :

when i click upload, it now says version 2.10,
previously it said version 1.00

has it worked, i haven't turned it back off standby yet

 

no simon my cable is the same at both ends and only fits into the box,is there any thing else or do i have to get a cable with different ends

the plug on the back of you laptop is not a serial port it is a vga port for connecting an external monitor, try it on a pc

 

what box do you have?
