Eurovox Max problem

does my eurobox still need updating, if it shows 0000000000000 in provider, and Key 00 and Key 01. And the eurobox is working awesome, does this mean i have to update ma firmware stil, seems bit weird, no code shown as 00000 and the box still works, LoL?

 

My box was working fine until I updated to the new Eurovox firmware because of N*L changing codes, etc. I followed instructions about defaulting the settings and doing a powerscan, but it can't find any channels. It says the signal is at 8% (8 percent). I recall seeing something about this but I can't find it, and google can't include the percent sign in a search. Can someone point me to the fix please? I got the box from www.iw*nt*box.com ...

If you only have an 8% signal then you won't pick up anything, what was it at before you updated the unit??
connect the box directly to the incomming connector and see if the signal gets stronger

 

STEVEIRL did you notice this post about the fix not including cho**s codes yet i don,t know as i dont have a eurovox but i am going to fix some 2morro but there for N*L dublin.

 

It was at around 85%. I kept a copy of the older firmware that was on it, so I've put that back. But it's still at 8%. I've tried connecting the box to where NTL enters the house, but no go either...

 

Hey mate...cant help you with the time thing..i have that problem with my box (it shows the wrong time but the programs are right)

but the language thing comes and goes....i just pressed lots of buttons on the remote till i got one that worked out....thta how I work out most things with the box....I presss the Language button (red button) then two options come up...both say english but if you choose the other option that removes the commentary (there for blind people).....

im going backwards i reckon....it could be tirdness creeping in,

if i go to channel manager now i see not channels at all.
should i be doing a Manual Scan, or a Power Scan.

im in Swords on Ch&rus.
i think the symbol rate is 6875
i dont no what to start scanning at and what to end at, i entered in ur key 00 and key 01 codes but there was no channels in thelist.

i reckon we should get a kip and maybe i start again tomorrow evning.

download bigmaq toolbar , do a google search, they have an updates/fixes section that can assist you.

you may have corrupted the box during thr flash, going back to the old firmware may not work either, I had a similar problem with a mates box but when I flashed the box 2 or 3 times with the new firmware it came back to life... thats all i can tell you to do

i just did a channel update and i now have a lit of channels in the channel list, but it says Please wait updating the same as today after 5.15

in the Menu option Yellow button, i have the Provider ID 5E 01 for Ch&rus Swords
and Key00 FB 9D F9 95 89 05 86 AE
Key01 12 98 91 94 D9 D5 C3 09

but still no joy

P.S ANTO i was told if i updated to the latest frmware it would work on Ch&rus

 

6875 for Ch*rus area, channels are between freq's 250 & 500mhz

Press menu
User Installation
enter your key usually 0000
then the yellow powerscan
then ok

steve I'm going to go else were and try and find out for you

 

to manually scan these frequency's you need to go to installation, green button for channel edit , red button add channel,enter freq and symbol rate 6887
press ok, then repeat these steps till all freq's added.
when they're all in press exit and go back to first page of install menu.
press the red button for auto scan, this will do a scan for all the freqs entered.

let me know if you get any new channels after doing this.

if still no channels repeat but use symbol rate 6875,

it's up to u buddy, but if it was me i wouldn't sleep till i beat this, let me get this right your on chor*s your mbaud is 6.875
you have the freq list ie 291.000 x 13 or so or what ever the choras ones are you entered the choras codes manually and still it says updating........?

Ive been waiting for code updates for Ch^rus for the Eurovox since 5.15

Im in Swords.
Its gas there must be a hell of a lot of people in ireland on NTL cause everyone posts the NTHELL codes but no one posts the Ch&rus codes.

after me reading the threads all night i was under the illusion that the latest frmware would fix the autoupdating issue for the Eurovox, no one told me it only fixes it on NTHELL and not Ch&rus.
actually that doesnt make sense.

if i had known it didnt fix it on Ch&rus, i wouldnt have updated and dont a Factory reset as no i have lost all my stations and the order they were in also.

i did save the stations on my desktop up stairs though.
im on a laptop here.

 

I was at the understanding and by all means correct me if im wrong that when the firmware was loaded that there would be no need to input the keys in the Niagra menu,
I have updated my firmware today following Panasonics instructions and when I go into the niagra menu my keys are all set to zero's. So why is your niagra menu giving you them codes if it Auto rolls, Are you sure that the firmware loaded correctly?
