Hi Guys,
Please can someone offer me some advice on these problems I have been having,
My Eurovox Max V 2008 is no longer auto updating the keys, so I am having to manually input them.
I have read and search the forums and all these problems seem to be with Ch**us in Ireland, but I am in Bradford, West Yorks on VM?
I have kuro 2 beta, is this the problem, have the cc's now sussed this firmware and so it will no longer auto roll ever?
The problem is my box is a clone, so I do not think it is safe to update with the new kuro 3 firmware, so my questions are;
1 - Is kuro 2 no longer aito rolling anywhere?
2 - Will it brick my box if I flash with the new kuro 3 firmware
3 - If I did flash it would it then auto roll again?
and finally 4 - Will my box continue to work as normal, as long as I manually input the keys when they change (which is not a bog problem, as my cousin has a starview which is autorolling, so I can get the keys from his box)'
Thanks in advance for your answers and advice my friends, this site really is invaluable, a lot of people know just think their box has now been blocked and are buying new ones. Obviously not tried to solve the problem.
PS so is my best bet/only option to leave my box as is, and just keep inputting the keys, or am I likely to hit more problems soon?
I've only had my box less then 3months and after discovering it was a clone, and my dealer wouldn't take it back I had hoped to get at least 6months out of it, but here we are, 3wks on and it may be useless!! If it wasn't for bad luck I'd ave none at all! lol!

Can you recommend where to buy a null modem to usb cable with which to flash my box from my laptop!
Or I have an older pc with a 9 pin serial if that would be easier/cheaper.

Yeah it's deff a clone, see pages 52-54 on this blog, pictures etc, it was deff confirmed as a clone.
So I'm stuck to manually inputting codes every day!!
Will this continue to work?

yeah once you keep putting codes in manually itll work away, its just annoying that their changing so much everyday, even for people with the update as some au's take longer than others, sorry for getting your hopes up as i skipped the bit where you said you had a clone

i have just bought a USB serial convertor and a null modem cable from maplin. When i try to reflash it, i am getting the following message " waiting for a response from yoour receiver"

Would anyone know what the issue is?

 

I too received that message, when trying to flash using a usb to serial converter, noticed it switching between com 3 and com 4, couldnt sort it so used daughters pc with serial port on back. I think you need to configure the port.

Under "Device Manager" my USB to Serial converter showed up as "Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port (COM4)" even though I selected COM 4 on firmware update I had no luck.

 

i have brought the box to work.. going to use the PC in here... would you have the link to the firmware for a EUROVOX MAX 2006 blue and also winrar? Thanks
