    Thanks scouser i noticed when i put the newest fix for eurovox on i was only getting 12 tp's instead of 13 so i was loading the channel list on after flashing so i was hoping it was bringing in missing channels. I've flashed about 25 various makes of boxes and i hav'nt got a call yet to say its not working so long may it continue. (flashed for free of course).

    Thanks for all the regulars help
    regards
    antoinette.

    Hi, guys here is a site where i got my USB null modem cable(http://stores.channeladvisor.com/cablestar/Items/usb-null-kit?&caSKU=usb-null-kit&caTitle=USB%20to%20RS232%20Serial%20Null%20Modem%20Cable%20COM%20DB%209%20Pin%20Lead) its only £7.88 delivered and it works fine on my laptop. Only thing i had 2 change the usb port in devicemanager( chose port from 1-4).I heard some people having a problems with usb cables! I think the problem is that if u plug your cable in, windows gives automaticly a free port and if that port is higher then 4 it wount work, so u have to go to devicemanager and change it!!! If u go to devicemanager and then plug your usb cable in and out so u can see what port your usb null modem cable is using and then right click on it and propertis advanced settings and change it if its higher then 4! good luck. if u do right click on your my computer then manage then device manager and then ports plug your cable in and u can see what port u have! And plz install drivers for that cable before using it they r on that disk(comes with cable)
    If any problems im happy 2 help!

    Yep known problem, more so on Vista and a PCI card is better or a standalone PC with a D9 serial port.

    @karlobohs
    Don't post that kind of crap here again - that's the only warning you will get.
