make sure you enter the correct symbol rate for your area before scanning!

To upload the firmware you need your box a null cable modem and your pc. You dont need the tv or the cable plugged in just the box and electrical lead and your pc and the correct software. Then once youve downloaded the software plug box back to tv and cable and take it from there. There are instructions on here as to exactly what to do, sorry cant remember off the top of my head as i did mine a few weeks ago
    hoep this helps

Location is Dublin city North. Prov is N*L.

I have successfully upgraded several boxes:- Eurovox , THEBOX ,Replay and Digibox before.

I have a strange fault on a Eurovox that previously I updated with RED BOX firmware and which worked for over a

    week up to now.

    "NO SIGNAL" flashes on screen.

The Green LED "LOCK" on the display also flashes at the same rate.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------

I have done the following tonight to reset everything:-

    Downloaded Eurovox RED firmware 21-04-08.

Clear data: channels and set factory defaults.

    select 6.887 sample rate

    OK to start scanning.

Enter frequency range from- 290 -to 405.

OK to begin and wait for the scan to finish.

As each frequency set is scanned you USUALLY see each new channel being added to the list by name but in this

fault condition the system finds only a small number of channels and they are named TVCh1 ...TVCh2 etc.

When exit to TV screen - No picture!

    "NO SIGNAL" flashes on screen.

The Green LED "LOCK" on the BOX display also flashes at the same rate.

My other BLUE BOX works perfectly if substituted for this RED one so I don't have any cable problem etc.

Has anyone any clues on this problem??

    Thanks for any suggestions.

If your sure its not your signal, it sounds like a tuner problem.
I read on a previous post from oggnogg about something similar.(Can't remember where exactly)Maybe you could PM him and ask him for help.

If you get a CDF file for your provider/area from someone who has already sorted theirs it may be of some help to you.

It means what it say's, are you sure that you have a red box, because that is telling you that you don't, and you are trying to put the incorrect firmware on.

    @ farhic7

As quoted by scouser on 'Eurovox max security'Thread http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/141/468229

    ''Eurovox Max Kuro Release
    UFL_Max_Kuro_28_04_08_T.exe

This file is an alternative image for people who may have the 8% signal problem.

It can be used by anyone but it is recommended to generally use the previous images that contain the Signal Boost option.

An option has also been added to turn AutoSort ON/Off in the Powerscan menu.

    File Here http://www.mediafire.com/?hsmji5wjpas

Many thanks to the Kuro developers.

I have also put it in Eamos FTA Library. ''

    Hope this helps you out.

Can anyone help please? - EuroVox MaxV 2008 (Black)
I am using the following guide (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/653745) to update my EuroVox MaxV using the 10/04/2008 update programs. However when I come to option 2a (copying the CDF file) The screen simply refreshes and doesn't actually transfer the file to the desktop. There is a message on the TV screen which reads - "Insufficient Memory". Can anyone tell what is wrong and how do I fix this please?
