Eurovox Max problem

some people only have half have a brain and only a third of that works creaky

 

anyone else lose chanel fiveUS on a night time, it seems to work all day but dissapear at night?

lads i am just asking why are yee not giving the lastest codes any way, i know there is people out there that do not have the know how to do up date and by not giving the codes out you are playing into ntl hands and they are winning it is a forum ?????

 

Lets just say its because of "legal" reasons. Although here at Afterdawn a rule change was applied so we adhere to them.

Thanks again for your help on Sat guys - very much appreciated.

I managed to get the Red firmware & it said (eventually) that the update was successfull but when I connected the box to the cable last night & tried to do a scan for channels it couldn't pick up any transponders or channels!!!

Anyone any idea what went wrong there (could I possibly need a different firmware (I'm on Eurovox Red 2007 Original)??? I'll have another hack at it tonight.....

P.S - I'm on NTL in Dublin.

 

Presume you loaded the latest firmware for Red 21/04/08. You can use my CDF for N** Dublin and download it to your box. This will give you all your channels sorted into FAV groups. You will find the CDF in Eamos FTA Library at the bottom of my post, (Eurovox Channel Dump Folder).

You need to clear your channel data first and then download the CDF.

1. Press menu, config, clear data.
2. Press Erase All Channels.
3. Press OK.
4. Exit all the way out.
5. Put EV in standy and download CDF.
6. After download completes go to Sly Sport and let it update.

Or alternately a powerscan from 290.000 to 403.000 on symbol rate 6887 and then update your channels will do.

Thanks for the *.cdf scouser I'll give it a twist tonight.

 

I updated the firmware on my own max V 2007 box last week and it all updated ok. However I tried the same software on my mates max v 2008 box last night then tried a re-scan but it did not pick up any channels. Anyone know why this might have happened???

 

From what the guys on this forum have been telling me you need to clarify first which colour box you are using then verify if it is an original and a clone.
At that point you should then be able to determine which firmware you need to use. Also see my post & sc0user's response to me only a few posts up....

 

Is it possible to bypass the new sort channels feature for the Eurovox. If so how is it done please ?
