Eurovox Max problem

Hi scouser you helped me in the past successfully as usual, i dont post much but i keep track every night and i always get anything i need sorted by just keeping track on wats been posted, but this unit just wont kick in , ive flashed many and never seen this, a visual inspection tells me its not a clone, i also tryed flashing with the 10/4/08 f/ware with no success. IM PUZZLED.

 

Well then you know what youre doing Have you tried the 28/04/08 version also, it was specifically for the 8% problem but may work, failing that as its seems you tried the lot. I would return it as it could have a faulty tuner.

Sorry for delay Scouser, my broadband is knackered, but i did think of 8% prob and used 28th version with no luck, the guy that asked me to update it said it was working fine except for it was'nt autorolling , so would this still suggest a faulty tuner?

Stupid question but did you download a CDF to it after flash? Have to hit the hay soon Mikey so if I dont reply I will catch you tomorrow, apologies.

I have just read umpteen pages of stuff that didnt need to be here lol!

coz if they do that that will knwo where to find all the info they need. Its all there in black and white ( and red) as they say.
IF youve got a box then you need to elarn how to use it and what to do if there is a problem, but people just come on here and ask without thinking or looking. I WANT I WANT I WANT!
I sorted mine a while ago and have not had many problems, the few i have had i have either SEARCHED ON HERE or just take nthe plunge and tried something i had previously read.
Its not a matter of being brave any more its a matter of getting off ya bottoms and SORTING IT!
Its nice to know that a lot of the peeps on here have been so helpful over the last few months but they to do have lives to live and dotn get paid ofr this and are now gettingfed up with people jsut wanting and asking without 1st taking the time to research.
I would suggest that beofre people go out any but these magic boxes that they do a little research.
WEll its jsut the sort of info i give people in my shop when they come to buy a reptile - make sure you know what your buying etc etc!

sorry but its my 2penneths worth after reading comments from the likes of the mods and others on here who are fed up with telling people the rules! if members read them 1st it would be a whole lot easier.

Downloaded new flash for the EV blue this morning.
Everything ran as it should until near the end it said "download unsuccessful" then it changed to "Download successful" a couple of seconds later is this normal?????

Dowloaded new AU for my starview with no issues like this.

almost all bue and red boxes i have flashed all said failed! but they all still worked.

its just a glitch as they say, some do and some don't.
some need chanel data clearing and a factory reset ad some don't.

outta the many i have done i would say its 70% do and 30% don't

I tried a channel dump as well but the computer was acting up (windows 98 old pc, coz it has the right comm port) and wouldn't accept the file so I will have do a complete rescan on 6.887.
Not a major issue but a hassle when I wanted to get everything done at the upload stage.

Anyway, cheers for the input, when you see an error message like that a little ripple of panic goes through you.

eurogeek cheers for info the other day.

 

erm, silly thing is... when i flashed my own personal blue box, it auto dumped all my chan data out to the cdf file.
am not sayin it will do it on all boxes as some seem to be hit and miss.
jus mine did.

a could do with a cdf file that has all the chanels in vm order for a ev blue box if ne one has it.
been meanin to sort mi chanels out for ages but its such a chore doing all 240 or so chanels.
a guess an just a lazy tw@t hehe
