Eurovox Max problem

    Is the box plugged in and is the null cable fully inserted in the pc and the EV ?

    me thinks u not got a NULL MODEM CABLE.
    a think u jus got a standard rs232 lead.

    got usb serial adaptor from Peat's and 9 pin gender changer sorted com port prob,all conected, say's on pkt this cable provides ideal connections to modems

    it says burgers on busses but it don't mean they sell them.
    did u buy a db9f - db9f null modem cable?.

    i understand that some people do not have the old 9 pin socket.
    i also understand that some people have updated their boxes successfully using the usb and genderchanger.
    just from my experience, the genderchanger caused more problems than its worth.

    i do sympathsize with those that have no choice....

    it just sounds like you have a standard rs232 lead rather than a NULL MODEM cable

    All Cables usually have them.

    hi bud, can u explain what u mean? just for my knowledge

    i think it's fair to say that NOT all boxes come with the cable.
    mine didn't

    cost me £10 to buy it
    but i still havn't charged ne 1 to flash their box.
    proffiteering [can't spell it] has no meaning to me, jus here to help like the rest :)

    SG8 i am by no means tryin to have a go at ya.
    no interest in that crap.

    just thought the post was a lil vague.

    'All Cables' is a company in Dublin that sell cables, so if anyone is looking for cables they usually have them (and know what they are on about!)
