Eurovox Max problem

Yeah just has a quick look. Different name but all the same menus

 

can anyone help i have a euro vox max and it needs to be updated so it can sort out the codes its self. the problem im having is i dont know what firmwear to put on it red blue black etc thanks

What firmware is on the box at the moment??

 

well if its a max v 2008 you put the black kuro 3 18/04/08 firmware on it

i put that farmware on the box just trying to get the channels back it would only let me do a power scan is that normal?

 

After the firmware do a factory reset then scan using the correct symbol rate for your area.

 

i haeve reset the settings but still getting on channels

 

you have to reset the chanel data as well before you factory reset.
then do a power scan

I successfully updated my 2008 EuroVox MaxV firmware the other day using the instructions given by SG8 here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/653745 and did the same for a friend. Both of us are in Dublin on N*L and it all seems fine.

I just turned on to find the dreaded "Please wait, code being updated..." message and it's been like that for 30 minutes. Called my friend and his is fine, not updating at all.

Any suggestions as to what I need to do? I thought the latest firmware sorted this out?

what station have you on propably bbc3 or 4 as i'm not aware of any code change since wednesday

Spot on!! I was on BBC3. Why does that say code updating? The other channels seems fine.

Also, do you know if there is a way I can boost the signal via my EuroVox MaxV software? I have a weak cable signal and get a lot of blotchy/broken up pictures.

because it dosn't come on till after 7,if you go to menu config tv settings you will see signal booster as the last option it may or may not work for you

 

Initally I thought the EPG on the update for EV was the dogs dangly bits, but now I'm not do sure.
The EPG is missing some posts, and the on screen ones sometimes have no data at all or at best an hour or more off. I have set the times to different GMT setting and then turned it off but still noting chnaged.

Any suggestions or is it just that way???
