Eurovox Max problem

how do iget the box set to the corrrect com port

 

its already been explained go to the advanced tab in port settings

 

sorry james only seen your post there after you do the reset you just do a power scan start 290.000 stop 403.000 on symbol rate 6887 but you prob alredy sorted it cos your post was ages ago any how any problems post back

 

I have the Eurovox 2008, and I'm with Chorus, situated in Dublin. I just followed the guide posted below to update the firmware on the box, which seemed to be successful. The box then scanned for channels, and some channels are now working but others are just a jumbled frozen screen. I'm not getting the message saying "updating codes" or anything. Does anyone know what's going on here please?

 

I have the EV Max V and I have downloaded the serial converter software and have the 2 connections. I have run the UFL Max V clicked download and the box asked me to connect to a com port - it only gave me options 1-4 (when I checked the serial converter it was connected to com 9 - but there are only 3 USB ports on the laptop????) the laptop is connected to a work network.

The UFL Max V is now on a window titled "Fireware downlaod - version 2.10" and it is saying "waiting for the response of your receiver" I have been stuck on this for the past 60 mins.

The pin is connected to the back of the EV

Can anyone help please?????

 

do a factory reset and then do another powerscan

 

its all on the forum if you use the searchbar but how ever if your using windows xp, go to my computer view system info-hardware-device manager-select coms&lpt Duoble click find your usb adapter go to port settings-advanced and make sure your usb is set to between 1-4 whichever's available

 

Ok it's doing it as we speak. I just noticed too it only had about 95 channels, isn't it supposed to pick up ~140?

patience,yes of course it is it needs to update and when the codes go again it will update again for you providing you loaded the proper firmware

 

sekondi put channel to s*y sports i find this brings in the codes quicker for some reason, somebody recommended this a few weeks ago and i tell everyone to switch to this channel and it seems to work! LOL might help, also might be all in our heads LOL

The powerscan just finished and I'm getting the same again. It's not saying "updating code..." at all and it seems it hasn't even tuned in S*y Sports! Again, some channels are fine.

 

Sekondi did you clear data, factory default, powerscan etc.

 

Yes, set it to factory default first.

 

barnesdub what channels are you receiving that are ok. would your EMU maybe be dissabled (just a thought)

 

A good few regular terrestrial channels, one or two of the Setanta channels, S*y Sports 2,3. None of the movie channels are working. And I'm sorry to be irritating but I don't know what my EMU is.
