thanks for quick reply karljd . when i got to her house she had already followed the instructions the seller gave her config 0000 etc with the cable has she done any damage to the firmware update she paid a guy to do. ps i have followed your team for nearly 50 years now maybe next year the league.

 

ive lost sky sport 1 and pay per view. I have an 08 box on vir#in. I have firmware installed any ideas ?

I have a eurovox with the new software and all is working well my question is this, I have noticed that s*y has added new stations to it's lineup can we get them on the box and if so how, I'm on n*l in Dublin. Also I have a few old n*l boxes some with cards can anything be done with them to recieve the stations I get on the box?

 

You will only get what your provider carries. Regards subbed boxes we cannot comment on them here.

 

If you are in Ireland that may be your problem.

Its a problem specific to the Irish EPG stream and the EV, in the UK it can be fixed by setting GMT to +01:00, but in Ireland you need to follow these instructions:

1. Pull plug on the back of the EV for a few seconds then plug back in again..
2. When EV powers up, immediately press menu, config and time settings.
3. Set correct time using GMT settings.
4. Then turn GMT OFF.
5. Press blue button to save and exit.

It may take more than one attempt so just be patient, it does work. One thing to note though when you have the EPG correct, is to just put it in standby at night, if you unplug it you will have to go through the whole process again.

 

Hi sorry for the above post, was trying to quote it - ahem! I found scouser's tip worked for the clock setting and EPG on the E***vox before, but since flashing (v proud of self!) the clock can still be fixed this way but not the EPG. I know it's not a big deal, but since I like having cake AND eating it, just wondered if anyone has fixed it? Also can't find it now but think I saw a tip to autoscan 1st then do something? reluctant to autoscan as it took a few goes to get all the channels in without digtal break up and with names etc. Thanks a million for all past advice on flashing - reduced the fear factor by a lot.

 

If you are in Ireland and the clock is fixed as above so will your EPG, no need for an autoscan Where are you and what provider?

 

Hi I'm in dublin on NThell - tried it several times as you said and the clock fixes but the EPG gives wrong info i.e six one news due on at 5pm...

 

Honestly it works in Dublin its all a matter of timing when the EV powers back up you will see 12:00 on the LCD. Press power on with remote and IMMEDIATELY go to menu, config, time settings and follow my instructions above.

Guarantee you it works

 

Hi there i've just noticed today that some channels are coming up with no signal and have never had this problem with those channels before, but all of the are fine. Can i fix this?. Thanks.

No problem, but as said above if you unplug it at night you will have to go through the whole process again, so just put it in standby, when you have fixed it.

Tried it again a few times and it really is down to the timing! I wasn't waiting until the 12:00 appeared before turning the power on, but as soon as I did, it worked. Thanks again.

 

I have a sv1 and a sv3 and i had the same problem today on N*L dublin, i was getting this message on the likes of uktv drama, more4+1, all the euro news chanels ETC. I was advised by karl to rescan on frequencie 371.000 and it brought them back, for me anyway. I also noticed on some channels a message saying please wait channel moved and these scanned back in on new frequencies themselves. might help.

 

i see no body has anwsered about about no signal i have the the same problem
