Have you left the box on bbc3 or bbc4 if so do as cyborcob already told you and put it on another channel

    Hi all.
I got a eurovox max from a mate, it looks like an original red judging by the pics and guide Ive seen, it had the maxv_kuro3 firmware on it.It was saying no signal.I reflashed it with the older max_red_15_03_07 to see if it would update to the newer one after but the only firmware i will take is the MaxV_Kuro3 ?.Still says no signal and the leve;; jumps from 4-99% quality 5%. Has it been fooked by incorrect firmware?.

    Any ideas thanks

    Turn it off!
Your electric bill will be huge leaving things on standby, and think of the environment too and your carbon footprint.
I know this sounds very like tree hugging but just reset the time each day, it takes seconds, if you cant live without the EPG, but dont leave things on standby.

It wont let me flash any other firmware to it other than MaxV_Kuro3. It says something like this firmware is not for this receiver. It seems to think its a MaxV.
I have tried the older Red firmware using voxer and then tried to use the latest red but it still says its not the correct firmware for this receiver.

    Thanks

sure but the best way to tell is the packaging the reciever came in, should have a coloured band at the top of the box which denotes the boxes colour.

Looks like Pic A.I dont know the colour of the box it came in.I suspect it has been messed with because he had 2 both red, 1 is dead and has a completely different PSU and also has a heatsink on main Ic. And the one I am referring to.He had somebody flash them and thats the condition he gave them back in.

Take the lid off it "six screws" and see if any of the screws on the board are covered in red paint.
