Eurovox Max problem

The GTrom 4.00 is the loader for the firmware you have, and you will find it in the link to Eamo's Library at the bottom of my post, Starview Folder 7th down and into Software and take your pick of the 1st or 2nd file and download to your desktop.

 

Ok, i downloaded the GTRom 4.00.......how do i use it along with the firmw@re that i downloaded too?

 

UPLOADING SOFTWARE TUTORIAL
1. Plug Starview in at the mains;
2. Plug in null modem cable and join up box with
PC using COM port on PC (there is only one socket for
this on the Starview you cant go wrong);
3. Open up GTRom loader or whatever sofwtare you have
for loading image on the box.
4. Click on "BIN File" on GTRom and load the
Auto update BIN File file that you have

5. Now click download button and you sill se the
file being downloaded.
6. Once complete a mssage will apppears saying
something like "download successful".
7.Ideally you should try and get a bin file channel
list for your area and load this as well it will save a lot of time.
8. Alterantively, plug box in and press Menu on
remote, installation, choose your cable provider,
then move don to automatic scan and press ok.
9. Once all channels have been found press exit back to TV screen.
10. Now press menu, parental control, press ok.
Now press i then 2004. Move down to Key Emu and change option
to on. Press ok , then exit back to TV Screen.
11. Go to scrambled channel and wait on keys updating.
12 That should be you.

OK, so i chose the port, file type is App Download and the correct .bin file and i clicked download, a bar comes up that says downloading, but the percentage isnt goin past 0%.......

hello geraldor if you are having a prob installing there is an issue with loading the software to the box from a laptop - just FYI if it dont work the first time.

 

Have a eurovox max v ,last time i posted i was going to flash the box with 28-04-2008t. done that but still all channels drift in and out with the message no signal then followed by updating code.signal quality and strenth are 92-94%.tried reflshing box ,factory defaults but cant seem to get a stedy picture.Please any ideas!!

 

your signal strenght is far to high put the 18/4/08 firmware on your box for the black one

 

Try adding an variable attenuator, (although 9Db is about right for your signal strength), to your coax feed as it comes into the EV cable in port. You will find one here http://beststuff.co.uk/coaxial_accessories.htm or on Fleabay or the likes of Maplins etc.

yep tell him the same yes just hanging on in there why do people with a high signal put the 8% file on there box thinking it is going to make it better if fact it is not only making it worse for them

ive downloaded the new software and all is goood but today when the codes rolled the box didnt change the codes i had to do them manually?? i thought the new software did that?
its a blue box.........any ideas ????????

 

Make sure you have the 21/4/08 firmware on your box ok

 

hi can you help me to find out why my laptop won't find a driver for my eurovox in new hardware?

 

it should be looking for a driver for your usb serial adapter if thats what your using,did you install the disc that came with it?
