Eurovox Max problem

no i got the box off my brother but he didn't mention anything about a disc

 

no stuie your miss reading me your laptop should be finding your usb cable not your box the cable comes with a disc not the box.

 

sorry! he said that he didn't get a disc for anything all he did was to download some softwaer when he asked how to set up for the first time.

 

yes but as i asked is he/you using a usb to serial adapter in conjunction with a null modem cable to download firmware onto the box?

check the eurovox help link under my pic,to make sure your using the proper cables,you will need drivers for your usb to serial cable

hi i have filmware 21 04 08 installed got all the channels but some channels are poor quality / freezing /stuttering would a variable attenuator help my quality/level is 81%

No you do not need to "Unflash" your box.

i got it over a year ago and i remember having a problem flashing it using this way, someone told me another way of dowloading the software, i cant remember the name but it had about 10 little icons at the top of the page, including library, files, extract, things like this, and that was the way i flashed my box, i know this sounds a little vague but do you know what im talking about?

 

The best way to do it is as I said above, use the link,

Make sure you know which eurovox you have either blue/red/MaxV, Download the correct firmware for your box then follow the instructions in the link. SG8s instructions are very clear and has been used time and time again.

 

If you have any trouble after trying then report back.

i know thats the best way, but it wont work for me that way, i have the null cable going to an adapter and then into the laptop, for some reason it won't pick up the signal from the box that way, i spent days trying it last year and ended up coming up with the other way and it worked perfect, do you have any idea of what im talking about? there is another way, but i cant remeber it, i know what it looks like i can see it in my head but my head wont connect to the lap top unfortunately

Either way you will still need to get the box talking to the PC.

Do you mean when you have to give it hard boot reset.


When it says waiting for the responce of the reciever, unplug the Eurovox, hit download on the UFL, wait a few seconds and then plug it back in again.

 

ahhhhh. help ,iwas just deleting non-working channals when i hit the delet all button.any one got a nice channal dump with fav sorted
