S/W Version should say either 10/4 or 18/4 for a Max V, (is it a Max V you have?). What does it say. Suffice to say the firmware is fine , check your emu is on. Although it should be by default. Press menu, press OK, type 1968 and check if emulation is on.

Strange and what is your quality/signal levels at. Press menu, installation, user installation and check each TP. I presume you can get the home channels, e.g. RTE etc.

Are signal levels in the 80s across all frequencies?

    1. Pull plug on the back of the EV for a few seconds then plug back in again..
    2. When EV powers up, immediately press menu, config and time settings.
    3. Set correct time using GMT settings.
    4. Then turn GMT OFF.
    5. Press blue button to save and exit.

It may take more than one attempt so just be patient, it does work. One thing to note though when you have the EPG correct, is to just put it in standby at night, if you unplug it you will have to go through the whole process again.

Put the coax feed directly into the back of the TV and tell me how many channels can you get?

Thats fine. I know Carlow was upgraded only a while back and some areas may still be only analogue, hopefully you dont fall into that category. Can you ring to find out if you are digital or analogue, I presume you have a subscription?

I would however reflash with the 18/04/08 firmware, factory reset and input frequencies again.
