Eurovox Max problem

scouse, how are ya mate? hope all well
box has been fine till today, i did the clone update, all was smooth, prob is, it has been saying code updating all day....is there anything i need to do, or can do to get this fixed...need to watch footy

 

what channel have you left it on after you updated?

 

hiya mate, i did the clone updat abt 3 weeks ago, all went well...all been working fine, its just today, it has been saying the updat messge, the box has been updating itself fine, i have been watchin as and when the codes change,

 

ok try this press menu-preferences-language settings-ok-1968-1968-then press the yellow button(default key)exit back to sly movies and see does it update for you.

 

and check to see if your basic cable is working while your at it!

 

usually that would say no signal axxxo,maybe he had the box on bbc3 or bbc4 earlier or any of the other channels that were off air.

 

prob since he didnt get back to ya!

sorry mate, im here....internet issues....checked cables n all.....same probs....is there a vmedia issue or something???

 

ive found when mine goes off or says similar i put it on sly sp@rts and that tend to bring everything back within seconds. if the kids put it on say bbc3 or 4 or similar or if its not been on all day it can " go off"
so try putting it on S sports channel and see what happens. Similar thing happend with my super boxes again put em on same channel and everything comes back within seconds

funny one to be honest, so shud i tell kids not to go on those channels?? is there a way to fix this issue?

 

id imagine that when you leave it on these channels when their off air the box woulld start to au to pick them up again so as your flicking through the stations they would all seem to be not working, do as linny says anyway, could always delete them or lock them!

the only way it to try and ask kids to change to another channel when they have finished watching.

Any channel that goes off air will probably result in the same thing. ask them to put it on say bbc1 or itv1 or any channel that does not finish at certin times. Unfortunaly some of the freeview channels do have a limited air time and go off air. so when coded try and update it sees these as off air and cant do anything about it. any channel that is on 24/7 should auto update but if in doubt put on SS1 for it to update.

Not a good idea to ask kids to stop watching them - not when you have got them at home for the next 6-8 weeks lol!

so basically...i need to ensure the channel is left on SS1 and then we are good to go.....if thats the case...i guess i will have to send the orders to tell the kids to wack it ss1 before they switch telly off..

 

no no need to leave it on ss1 even if its left on a channel thats gone of air by just switching to a channel thats brodcasting should ensure it comes back straight away.
