not sure what you mean,if you need to get into installation, unless you changed it the default password is 0000, if this dosn't work try 1004, then you need to set your symbol rate at 6887 and frequencies from 290mhz-420mhz, as i take it your in Dblin.

sorry missed that not sure about the frequencies but you can't go wrong scanning from 200 mhz-700mhz symbol rate 6887 for n@l though 6952 works in some areas.

Don't ask for codes as this is against the rules.
BBC3 and BBC4 don't come on air til the evening time(not sure of exact time) and this is why your box is constantly searching and trying to update.

What software did you try and did it say downloading failed?

codes have bene agianst the rules for sometime.

you need to add new firmware to your box see the links in some of the siggys EMO's LIbrary
as said bbc3 & 4 are only on air at certain times. If oyu have downloaded the latest firmware then try going onto a sports channel and wait for it to update either that or update you channels in your update manger

Hi karljd if you are about.

Have been trying for nearly 2 weeks now to get my boxup and running, without any luck.

I have not got a connection on my desktop pc to attach a null modem {so bought a usb adapter} computer would still not pick up my eurovox.
    Downloaded the drivers for xp and still nothing. Tried connecting to a friends laptop but sort of the same problem {had to use usb adapter}

I am begining to think it might be one of the cables that i bought.

Have put a link to both the cables that i have bought {ebay} is there any chance you can have a quick look to see what you think.

    Cheers in advance.

    Right

I have a Eurovox - red one and need to flash it and i done have a 9 hole pin on my laptop - so i need the following:

    Female to Female Null Cable
    USB Adaptor

Is this all i need and what do i do then (sorry not that IT literate), from what i understand i connect to Internet and get Firmware - do i need to pay for this? - if someone had an idiots guide to the whole thing that would be great - eg how much do the cable and USB adaptor cost - so i need to buy anyhting else?

    Rambling now but help needed
