Eurovox Max problem

hi, ive been having problems with losing channels on my eurovox max v. its not a clone. its constantly saying service unknown on most of the musin channels and some others. probobly about 15-20 saying this in total. anyone have any ideas? i already have the latest firmware

 

Karljd Just flashed the Clone box, it accepted the Max V 2008 firmware, loaded the CDF file, accepted that, plugged it into cable, tv etc, "Updating Channels, Please Wait", 2 minutes, working fine!

If it wasn't for the fact I know its a clone, wouldn't have noticed any difference from the real boxes I've flashed.

Thanks for your help, I'll wait and see if he comes back saying its bust in the future!!!!

Getting no signal message on all the channels, using eurovox max v 2008, any advice?

Have you changed anything on the box or did it just start happening,?

Are any of the channels working?

Were abouts are you and who is your provider eg N*L, C+W.

 

just started all of a sudden, i fell asleep watching the olympics and woke up to no signal. I am in Belfast and with the bearded ones lot,Oh and no channels working at all

 

Ruling out the obvious,
You tried checking all the connections at the back.

 

yip done all that, took them all out and put them all back in

 

Try this.

Menu> Config> Then ok on Clear data,
Type 0000 or 1004,
Ok on Erase all channels then ok again.

wait for it to clear all channel data then,

Press Menu along to instalation, Press ok type 0000.

Now press powerscan "the Yellow button",

a box will then load like this



Enter the information as is above then click ok to scan and wait for the result,

May take a while to scan,

cheers, I will give it a go when I get a chance to lock some of the channels that come come up. Is there anyway to save the channel settings on it?

 

Just checked to be on the safe side, vergin have an outtage in Belfast and complete loss of TV.

I have been using a eurovox for around three years now with no problems except the usual firmware updates etc. My box finaly died so I bought a new max-v black updated to kuro3 28/04/08 but I am only getting 115 channels. Missing sky premier & +1 setanta hallmark and quite few other favs. I have scaned fro 000.000 to 999.000 on 6887. Can anybody help me out. I must be doing somthing wrong as I had all the channels on my old box. Any advise would be apreciated.

 

have you tried one of the other symbol rates? tbh ive got 2 SV boxes and i had to put one on 1 provider and the otherone on one of the other providers - no idea why. Worth a try. I know that when i got mine i was told to try all providers to see which one picked up the most channels. Mine are on 2 seperate feeds coming into the house and i was on the nthell before it got taken over to VM.

if you try it let us know if it works - you got nothing to loose by ttrying it. Plus i found that the freq was sometimes different oen one box ie a channel on 1 box might be 123.000 and on the other box mightbe 123.250 or 123.750 so bit like your local radio station may need a bit of tweekingdue to signal.

Was your older box running the 18-04 or the 28-04 Firmware?

Not sure but I think it was 21-04-08. Dose this tell you somthing about the signal in my area? I have just scanned 000.000 to 999.000 on symbol rates 6.952 & 6.887, I have 158 channels but still no setana, hallmark, sky premier, premier +1, and discovery realtime extra, and maybe more.

 

If your running a max V it was either the 18th or 28th firmware.

I would try putting the 18-04 firmware on your box, Click on the link at the bottom of my post marked eurovox updating and follow the instructions.

 

Hi again, Sory for the confusion but my old box was a blue 2006 just max, I have now bought a black max-v and its this box I am having problems with, I put 28-04 on it but I will now try 18-04 as you sugest & let you know soon.
