I want them saved in my own Favourite order, the order I keep them in in the stored cdf. file.

When I did the Powerscan I've just referred to, I left it ON, it sorted them in random order, so which way is supposed to work?

Just reloaded cdf. file, got them into my favourite order, now all I've got to do is change frequency of Santa Sports 2, do you know how to do this?

Thanks for all your help so far, appreciated.

If you leave Fav on it sorts them into categories eg Popular entertainment and so on,by pressing Fav on your remote will display the categories.
In thoes catogories the majority are in alphabetical order but not all eg Popular displays bbc1 bbc2 ITV channel four. It arranges them into what order it thinks is ideal for you then the rest alphabetically.

If you do a scan with the Fav's set to OFF. all the channels will be alphabetical order period although this can be changed.

When you do a power scan with the satanta 2 there, you then UPLOAD the the CDF to your PC, Forget your older CDF,

If you have reloaded your old CDF back to your box it will override the recent powerscan and you will loose satanta 2.

Once you have uploaded the new CDF with satanta 2 working you can use the UFL to re-arange them by clicking on browse then selecting the CDF you just uploaded saved on your PC. then press Edit on the UFL then channel editor will load, Press CH List the tick the Fav Mode. Once you have sorted your CDF you can then use that to update your friends recivers providing there location and Cable provider are the same.

    Apologies for the essay. :)

Right, reckon I've got that, basically use the new info from the Powerscan to create/assemble a new favourites list, transfer to a CDF file on my PC, then distribute as necessary. Hmm, should keep me busy tomorrow!!

Just for future reference, as and when channel frequencies change in the future, if you know the new frequency, is it not possible to amend that alone using the menu, rather than do all this?

Once again thanks for all your help, really appreciated.

Remote controls have a common fault of collecting dust and jamming one of the buttons down. Check every button.

    You got it.

As for the changing freqs to the saved CDF using the UFL then yes you can, Pic below shows you how.

My box of late keeps breaking up in picture and horrible sounds every time it happens. It mainly only happens to Sky Sports 1 and some of the movies, but mainly Sports. Anyone any ideas?

If the channels are breaking up with popping sounds and the picture freezing and breaking up its a poor connection - if its only happening on some channels then i think its to do with low signal strength on that Transponder( group of channels on one frequency)

while on the bad channel press 'info' twice then move to other chanells i bet there is only acouple of % in the difference but thats enough if it drops into the 70's to break it up.

re-check connections, splitters etc good quality cable (low resistance if its longer than a couple of metres (this make a huge difference)

Basically it not like Analogue where the pic will go snowy with Digi you either have or you dont !

    i Hope this helped

Thanks Takagi, I'll try replacing some of the connections.

I heard from a friend that some of the boxes dont support more than a 32" monitor, after this it can cause problems (to be honest I dont believe this)

Not 100% sure antoinette, I think they differ, some can go after reboot and others take a few weeks, but as I said not completly sure as I havn't put the wrong firmware on one, "well I hope I havn't Lol"

I have a the problem of crackling and no or weak signal.

I have had a eurovox for aprox 2 years now.

Never had these problems till about 6 months ago, also never been able to get Stna sprts at my house but my box finds it at a different house.

I have tried booting my box up at a different street location and it finds aprox 12 extra chanels and no problems at all. Then back at my house the chanels don't have a signal. I have also tried other eurovox boxes at my house and they all have the same problem.

I am an end house and have been told that the signal is week because of the end of the street.(maybe simular to a ring main)

My n*l box works fine but my eurovox cannot get bbc and itv and most of the free chanels and is now unwatchable on other chanels.

When in instalation mode my signal keeps bouncing from 2% to 90%. on all chanels.

I have tried straight feed from street and exactely same problem, When in power scan the box works perfect but then when trying to watch tv after power scan, it is impossible but again my N*l box has no problems.

Have n*l got new softwear that breaks the signal enough to cause eurovox a problem and not the n*l box or do I just live in a bad house.

    Please Help
