Can anyone help me please I have a eurovox max since December 07 and have never had any problems until the last week. However over the last week the picture and sound have both been breaking up constantly. I've tried changing all the cables and still no joy, has anyone any advice as to what I can try next?

 

Do you have a subbed box and is that affected also? Is the Eurovox plugged into the direct feed?

 

No I don't have a subbed box I have basic N*L and it was usually plugged dirctly into TV before I got the Eurovox, and yes the eurovox is plugged into the direct feed.

 

Where are you located roughly? What does it say in system info?

 

Located in the Drumcondra area of Dublin.

There has been upgrade work going on in your area for the last while.

I have a CDF for N** Dublin in Eamos if you would like to try that or do a factory reset and rescan on 6887 fron 290.000 to 420.000. As said it may settle down after work has finished.

 

OK I'll try both those and see if it makes any difference do you have a link for how to upload the CDF as I haven't done it before. If I've no joy I'll just wait and see if there's an improvement. Thanks for your help.

 

Look in Eamos at the bottom of my post all you need is there.

 

When you have the CDF mate make sure you download and not upload it to your box.

Hi everybody can somebody please help me.

I have bought 2 eurovox max boxes that are not clones and came with instructions.

I have been using a samsung 2100 box with no problems and all channels.


I flashed both boxes firstly to 18-04 kuro firmware with no problems.

I installed the cable with no splitter into the rf out and did a powerscan, it sacanned 770 channels and found nothing,
I was on symbol rate 6.952.

I found no chanels, as it was scanning it had the symbol TS000
in the box where channels should be found.

No transponder ?

after it had finished i looked in something and it was showing a red bar with quality 8%


So i tried the other box with same result.

Flashed both to 24-04 firmware(people with 8% problem).

Tried again with same result.

changed symbol rate to 6.887
again powerscan no result.

Im in the west midlands area with V*R*I*

Im new to this and browsed all the posts on the forums to get different ideas before posting.

Im tearing my hair out would really appreciate it if somebody would kindly help me.

I presume your feed is live and you have the feed pluged in the the RF in on the back of your box and not the Ant.

Also do you mean the 28-04 firmware? and I presume you have a Max V?

also west midlands symbol rate is 6952 for Birmigham, Walsall, west bromwich,

If you have the 28-04 firmware on try a Factory Default using 6952, Turn your box off then do a powerscan using 6952 as your symbol rate, Start the search at 100 and end it at 700, step set to 8.

If this doesnt work try the 18-04 firmware and do the same again.

I live in Lchfield area so will code still be 6952?

I have a black eurovox max and i am going into the rf input not the antenna.

So i will try "factory default"

and a power scan again.

Do i need to enter any codes /frequences manually?

Wish i didnt have to go to work so i could carry on !

No doubt ill be putting more posts on until i crack it!

 

If you have the 18-04 firmware installed you will not have to enter codes as it will auto-update, not entirely sure your symbol rate for lichfield but try 6952 and if that doesn't work do another factory default then try it with 6887, although i think yours is 6952.

Try that and come back if it doesnt work. all the best.

 

I don't have a problem with my Eurovox Max, this is thanks to you guys. Being a bit of a thickie, could you use a Eurovox connected to a satellite dish say in a motorhome or do you need a different box?

 

Different Sat box or freeview box dependent on your location.

I followed your advice,
changed firmware to 18-04,
Put signal boost on,
Cleared data,
Factory default,
Scanned at 6775 this time

and Voila !
Every channel.

You saved me alot of time and bother and i relly appreciate your help.
So thanks from me my wife and my daughter.
