If you have a phone with a camera in it, (or a digital camera with display), point the remote at it and press a button. If you see the remote LED flashing its OK, if not its broken.

You could always add one of these to the cart :)

Works on my wife, but has been known to have a few bugs, i.e. some buttons may/may not work at times :)

I've got 2 Eurovox Max, one picks up Disney but the other doesn't, any ideas from you gents?? Another question please, is there an equivalent box that does the same as the Eurovox but for use with a satellite dish??

Try the other box from the same feed as the box that has Disney. Yes there are a lot of Sat systems but not for Sly.

Thanks scouser, I tried that but still couldn't get Disney. I bought the Eurovox's from 2 different suppliers.

I passed on my Eur0vox Red Box to my son and reflashed it with 10.04.08 and Powerscanned it. It has worked PERFECT for six months but now ALL Channels except SkySprts (which is 100 per cent)are bad reception Not watchable. (since last weekend). Does anyone know if it is possible that the kit has failed or does the fact that it receives one good channel prove that the box is good? I am just trying to save myself a 500 mile round trip when someone might know I need a new box (It is 10 months old).
Petrol wise - almost cheaper to re-buy :-(
Any nfo would be helpful - thanks

Use the 21/04/08 firmware and do a factory reset and rescan. See if its any better after that it may be a cabling or tuner issue.

You say they are both Max models, but what type, e.g. Max V and what firmware revision is on each of them? Have you tried a manual scan on the frequency for Disney you can get from the box that has it?

Thanx sc0user > I will do all of that when I get there. On balance is there a decent chance that the kit is good - and your solutions might be OK?
(BTW thanx for the fast response)

Whoops - meant to ask. If it is a tuner issue - can it be resolved?
    Cheers

Should be, if its a cable issue thats another story. Unless of course its internal, e.g. RF connector on incoming feed or loose/faulty splitter, that you can fix yourself. 2007 boxes also have a weaker tuner.

To be honest you should get your son to flash the box ;)
