Put it in temporary & see if it boots the box, you can get a scart box with 4 seperate ways on ebay for peanuts which will do the job.

would just like to ask something about the new Eurovox EX5000 PVR

It says that you can pause live tv. on it?

    Now is that LIVE tv. or just recorded tv. as the only one that i have seen {at a friends} does not pause Live tv {unless his is broke}

Hope someone can clear this up before i buy one.

    Hi Barm

When i saw my mates new Eurovox i was impressed, it was as good as my old Sly+ box {i missed those features} but he assured me that he could only pause the recordings not live tv?

You can pause live TV. when you press pause it instantly starts recording you then press pause again and it continues with what you were watching ;)

Cheers for that HiTeck, i should be seeing him over the weekend, will tell him to check it out, if it works the same as Sly+ i will be getting one myself.

Just one other question, when you say "press pause it instantly starts recording you then press pause again and it continues with what you were watching" does this mean that you are actualy recording the programe then? or is it just simulating a recording?

When you press pause it starts recording to the hard drive, (Like Sky) then when you press play (or pause) again it starts to play from where you pressed pause and continues recording in the background which is why it shows two timer settings in the top left of the screen one for the play and one for the recording.

Just remember the Eurovox PVR has only one tuner which means you can only watch and record channels on the same frequency(transponder).
Sly+ has two tuners which means you can record while watching anything you want.
It is still a good PVR but not as good as S*Y+,and a lot cheaper :)

Anyone help me with this? Set up a Max V 2008 for my lad in his place in Liverpool ages ago, worked fine until lately, he's ex Twst now VGN.

He started losing programs, so had a look today, some of the frequencies are showing No Signal for about 20 something channels.

    Frequencies are 291, 299, 307, 315, and 323.

Anyone else in the 'Pool got this problem?

I had a similar problem recently with Setanta Sports 2 in Cheshire,No Signal, believe it was HiTeck who helped me with that one, frequency had changed from 323 to 346, but that doesn't work in Liverpool, different set-up.

Anyone got suggestions, or just do a Set Up again?

if you are using splitters you will experience this poblem

there has ben some freq changes in the Uk over the late few days rescan the box and it should be ok just remember when you are scanning you are using your old provider not the new one

    And scan with no splitters

Ok will give that a try, no splitters being used, direct link from external source.

Thanks for that, by the way anyone know whats the normal number of transponders in Liverpool area? He's getting 33, I get 35 in Cheshire
