Just answered a similar question. You need to input frequencies manually take a look here

hi im new to this forum so bare with me. i have had my box for 6/7 months without much trouble. my box recently started causing problem, by losing signal and a scrambled screen making viewing difficult. i read these forums and made sure all wires were connected and ran a powerscan.

the problems still persists but i have also lost some channels, sometimes the TP in powerscan shows 9 channel frequency's or 13 channels. i have done this a couple of times with the same result

    model DVB-XC BoxV TDA
    s/w ver 1.0 STC4 Oct 29 2007
    h/w 2.0t KS
    Bootstrap v007
    s/w build Kuro

i am on virgin/NT* in hartlepool, Teeside

if you require anymore information regarding my problem please let me know

That firmware is out of date, you need to flash your box with the latest firmware, make sure that you can identify your box model, i.e. Max V 2008 - which it seems to be with the Kuro firmware on it, so go to the link at the bottom markes Eurovox and follow HiTecks guide, you will also get the firmware there.

Hi all you have helped me alot already so hoping you can sort out one last problem for me. Is there a way to pin lock just certain channels i want to keep the kids out of some of them but all i can manage to do is lock the entire box then once the pin is put in they can get into all channels any way. any ideas on how to lock specific channels greatly appreciated

In menu, then channel manager, you can lock individual channels. Just select the channel and then press the button it says on screen to lock it. Sorry not in front of the TV at the moment so cannot remember the colour but you will see it on screen.

If it is a Max V you have got then you can lock individual channels via the Channel Manager, go into Channel Manager choose what channel you want to lock and press Green button and enter what code you want and a lock will appear at the side of the named channel.

Press Menu, along to channels, press ok on channel manager, enter pin 0000, Now high light the channel you want to lock in the list and then press the green button for lock, It will then ask you for the pin you want to use to lock and unlock it with then your done, it will show a pad lock icon over each locked channel.

LOL..... lads look how slow I am :) hehehe.

It does work on individual channels, when you have locked the channel just exit and it will save the data. To unlock at a later date just repeat the process. Good Luck in getting the remote lol.
