After having the 8% signal problem, i had a chat to my supplier, and he exchanged the box for me. I have a new one now, and it also has the newer firmware on it, kuro i believe, which has proper widescreen and a signal booster. S far so good, but i havent had a proper chance to test it yet.

Fingers crossed all will be good.

Thanks for everyones help with my previous issues :)

have taken out the fm/tv connection and plugged straight into the main cable, it works great now. i have 259 channels, 218 of them with programmes on.
the only thing is the programme clock is an hour fast even when the time is set correct.
    many thanx

    1. Set time using GMT.
    2. Go to installation, user installation.
    3. Press red button to preform an autoscan.
    4. When autoscan completes, IMMEDIATELY go to time settings again.
    5. Make sure time is still correct.
    6. Turn GMT off.
    7. Press blue button to save and exit.

Do not unplug it as you will have to set it every time you power it off , keep it on stand-by and it will save the setting

Can anyone tell me what Eurovox to buy?
Its to work with Chorus in Co Dublin.
The replay lite box would not work for me before.

    Is this the correct one?
Or should i be going for a 2007 box?

If someone could send me a link to the Eurovox i should go for id greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks

Added all these to the tp list, get a few more channels however MUTV, Sky Sports 1 2 and 3 just showing the EPG and no picture.

Just either getting no signal then changes to updating codes (which stay there) left overnight on a few occasions - I have even tried inputting the codes manually and doing a reset.

    Any ideas?

I hope there is someone out there who can help me? I bought a Euro-vox max 2008 black a few months ago and after a few teething troubles got it working and while we still had it at our house it was ok. The problem started when we gave it to my dad. He only lives a couple of miles away and like us has Vgn Mda. He has had no end of trouble with it to the point where we have just swapped our The Box with his and now cant get the euro vox working at our house. When i do a scan all the signal and quality levels are high but when it goes to the channels there is nothing there and says on screen either service unknown or channel unknown.

Although you both use VM , you might be on different frequencies like TW N*L or C&W

OK you need to go to menu, config, clear data and then clear channel data. Then do a normal powerscan

Make sure your cable is plugged into the RF and not the antenna port

    Is it the Eurov0x Max V 2008 ?

You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F.

    Null modem info

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6

If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable.

    USB Adapter info

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx...t10&doy=search&MenuName=USB to Serial Adaptor

These two cable links are only for reference as they can be purchased alot cheaper on fleabay.

All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos Library.
