Eurovox Max Red Faild Firmware flash!

do you well i have seen that problem on numerous occasions in here, and deleting the file and re downloading has worked,but who am i to no as iv'e only done a couple of 100 boxes,ah well all the best.

 

I'm not dissing you mate I'm just saying that I have tried what you said. You still have not answered if you have used the red software? If you have a working one please send it over.

 

i havn't seen any other posts with your problem,so alls im trying to do is root out the cause trying every option,it may sound stupid but sometimes its the simplest thing that causes these problems,i have no need to use any of the latest updates as there are no problems in my neck of the woods.try and pm Hiteck he may be able to help,i'm sure he's flashed all types the last few day's.

 

What I don't get is that I load the flash loader. In the top left it says ufl red v2.0 modded by darx. On the logo it says unified flash loader v1.0 and when I press download it sas version 2.10 detected lol

 

If you wanna ask him to read the thread by all means but I ain't pm'ing people I don't know. I am a mod on another forum and it is annoying as! lol

I have no other red boxes to try it on and no one here is commenting that they have used the red software so I can't really determine if it is the box or the software. I have tried loading a previous version onto the box and that fails even though I have put it on before so that doesn't fill me with confidence. Still though the box works fine so it just doesn't make sense. Is there anyway that the firmware on it is stopping the update, can I completely wipe it of info? I have done a factory reset and cleared the channel data.

 

no you can't wipe the firmware off,if you wont pm him look out for him in the forum,i'm of good luck.

 

ok I'm sorted. To anyone else who reads this and has the same sort of issue it was very simple for me, vista with usb adapter vs xp with a com port the later won! Even though my adapter worked on every other box and never let me down before so you live and learn. Buying a pci card tomorrow lol

In fairness you were a bit abrupt to Karl he knows more about the eurvox than most around here, he was stumped and suggested to send Hiteck a PM, we are all faceless strangers on this site but most of us regulars have one thing in common and thats to give out the best advice that we can, it would be easy for us to give you the quick and easy response rather than spending all night answering the same question, yours took slightly longer than most through all your doubting... if you had read other posts on this site you would have seen that there are issues with Vista as opposed to XP which is relativly straight forward, at the end of the day the main thing is your sorted , but try and be less aggressive towards the regulars who spend more time on the sitesand who risk divorce proceedings on a daily basis from the wives LOL

 

I'm sorry people but if you consider my actions on here as aggressive you are completely wrong! The member you are talking about suggested things that I doubted because he was wrong. I fixed this issue myself after trying the solutions he offered.

He suggested that I pm another member without there consent and I asked that if he knew him and thought he could be of help to speak with him and direct him to this thread. I could have moaned and pm'd everyone in sight asking how to fix my problem but I had an adult conversation with one member who was around at the time. How my actions have been misconstrued as anything else is actually beyond me! As for my problem taking longer than most? It was sorted within a few hours the turnaround here isn't that quick mate don't kid yourself! I will not be writing anything else on this so don't waste your energy trying to justify your post.

 

wrong about what mate?i tryed to help you out(offering suggestion's never said solution's),and you obviously did not avail of the search facility where you would have seen there are numerous problems with vista,but hey you declined to mention what o/s you where using,i tried to root out the cause of your problem but unfortunately i don't get paid to sit here answering smart alec replies all day,so i couldn't give a d@m@ if you read this or not,but next time feel free to sort your own problems out.ps we are a friendly group in here and noone has a proplem with pm.s.

I honestly can't believe you guys are reading the same thread. I have read back everything I wrote and not once have I slagged anyone off! I stated that you where wrong bout the firmware being corrupted because you were, there was nothing wrong with it and all I said was "it is highly unlikely it would be corrupt" not that it was a stupid suggestion or anything like that. I even stated in my post that I was in no way dissing you. As for my operating system that never even came into conversation! I discovered that myself by reading the forum so don't tell me I didn't search, perhaps when you are troubleshooting in the future you should ask that question first? Hey, might even keep you away from a petty dispute like this! Finally I wanted to thank the guy but there is no button to do so in this type of forum and writing a message to people who clearly misguide what I write didn't seem that worthwhile. Whatever you guys think of me is by the by I have clearly got some peoples backs up and I can't really understand why. I'm not gonna spit my dummy out over it, I do thank the members for there input on this thread.

I still don't agree with PM's to members without there consent because I think it is rude that is my opinion and I am entitled to it.
